Sunshine_girl2 said:Have thoroughly enjoyed following your travels and photos .Your balances are coming down so well . Do you have debt free date in mind minus the motor home payments ?Your dog is lovely as well , liked his bandana 😂. Where you heading off next ?
We don't have a specific debt free date in mind but the aim is to have the motorhome and the credit card paid off before we next remortgage in May 2026.
We will have a few weekends away before Christmas in the van. Don't think we will be venturing too far though.
This weekend is at home and quite possible next weekend as well.2 -
Not a no spends day today. We have been to pick a few bits up from the shop this morning. When did crisps get so expensive?
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. It was crumpets for breakfast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is steak burgers with cajun chips, beer battered onion rings, corn on the cob and coleslaw.
No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. It will be a chillied out Friday night on the sofa after what has seemed like a long week at work. The first week back after a break is always the hardest. I do feel as though I am catching up with myself again though. Hopefully next week will be a bit less manic.3 -
Happy Friday. That’s your first week back at work done ✅I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

The one day we couldn't really have a lie in and we got up late 🙈
The dog needed to be at the groomers for 9am so we had a rushed coffee and bacon sandwich before a quick walk around the block and off.
We have called at the farm shop on the way back to pick a few bits up. Always enjoy talking to the farmer. It's sheep dip day tomorrow apparently 🙃
Just sat down with a coffee. Won't be a quiet one though. They have decided that today is the day to put the final surface on the footpaths, on a Saturday 🤔
Mind you it's not before time. We have been here for 3.5 years now!
Dog should be ready in another hour or so then when we get back it is time to sort out the van.
Curry is in the slow cooker for later. Lamb madras today with basmati rice, samosa and naan bread.
Was going to wash the bedding today but will wait until the blokes have done with the messy work on the roads first!2 -

Despite some minor set backs this morning we have eventually got a fair amount done.
The bedding did get washed and line dried after the workmen had disappeared. Another load has been washed and is drying in the spare bathroom.
The van is scrubbed up inside and out. Just need to wash the bedding in the morning. Looks set to be a dry day so it will be line dried hopefully.
The other half has also washed the car.
I have been busy making homemade onion bhaji and aloo gobi ready for dinner later.
And I have done the dusting. Which in itself found another job. We have a minor leak on a radiator in the living room. Other half thinks he can fix it but needs some tools from work. Fingers crossed he can!
The dog has been naughty at the groomers and bitten her when she was doing his feet. He Hates his feet touching but this was very naughty. She says she might muzzle him next time which is fine by us.1 -
Our dog has to be muzzled when she goes to the vets. She’s fine until they start poking and prodding her.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I’ve not had a dog yet that’s been happy with their feet being clipped/trimmed. Bless him. I’m sure he will be ok with a muzzle for a short spell.LMD xLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £7390 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3677/£6000 | Travel savings £1832 | Sinking pots £31071

Oops to the dog - yep, a muzzle sounds like the right way forwards, no sense in risking it happening again after all. Lots of dogs are twitchy about their feet being touched I think - Mum’s dog isn’t great about it either.
Sounds like you’ve got lots done. I’ve had to put a load of washing to dry indoors today as well as the outside space is full from what went out yesterday which is quite dry yet. Another load going through tonight but that’s towels so I’ll probably give it 30 minutes tumble drying at the end of the wash and then hopefully it’ll finish outside!I also identify with the crisps situation - we usually buy the big 30 bag meaty flavours multipack and inside the last year we’ve seen them go from £2.90 > £3.90 - and noticed a few days ago that the T’s website just isn’t showing stock any more. Our local store still has a few packs so we decided to stock up on two this morning as we can’t see the price going down any time soon. Similarly Al’s hand cooked sharing bags - were 85p each not so long ago, now 99p, and again flavour options dropping away fast.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Another busy day in store today.
Going to start it off with some bacon and eggs.
Going to get the van bedding washed and hung out to dry and back on the bed this morning.
We also need to get the gardens tidied up. The front more so has put on another growth spurt!
The other half is wanting to go out into Derbyshire today to walk the dog which will be nice. I expect I know where we will end up so it might be fish and chips for lunch today.
Dinner later is roast beef and all the trimmings.
Might sort out my wardrobe and smalls drawer when we get back as well. They are all looking messy and unorganised.0
