Absolutely smashing the debt @RelievedSheff, bet next Monday can’t roll around quick enough?
You and I like our steak the same way needs to be just at the point it’s warm throughout for me - don’t enjoy blue that’s stone cold in the middle tbh. Wife likes it medium-rare and will only cook it that way but will refuse to eat it if I cook it lol.
Glad to hear pebbles look good. Your OH won’t be able to move tomorrow lol. My wife loves her garden and in our previous house we gravelled the borders, I speak from experience.2 -
The other half is a bit stiff this morning. He has just gone out with the dog to try and loosen off a bit before he starts with the shelving in the big cupboard in the hallway and in the garage.

Some good news this morning. Just got our water bill through from Severn Trent and our monthly direct debit has been reduced from £23 a month to £16.50 per month. Not a bad saving of £6.50 per month

This will be the third time they have reduced our direct debit now to suit our meter readings!4 -
Ha can’t believe ST have reduced your bill! My bills with ST have only ever gone one way lol £55/m now FML.4

We are on a water meter so the price is based on what we use. For us it works out much cheaper being on a meter. Mind you we didn't get an option with this house being a new build. But when we had one fitted to our last house our water bills halved.alt80 said:Ha can’t believe ST have reduced your bill! My bills with ST have only ever gone one way lol £55/m now FML.4 -
Can you remember what the rates were in old house? I’m convinced we overpay. Don’t hate it as much as council tax though that just feels like a government punishment for having a nice house imo.3

Don't get me started on council tax. That is a stinger here. £150 a month every month!!3 -
I’m reluctant to go on a meter as you can’t go back.
Ha you want to try living the band f life - £245/m for absolutely !!!!!! all and going up next year. Complete rip off, actually think more likely to use the stuff it pays for if band a tbh (schools etc). I use bins and roads which take up little of the actual bill. NCC don’t do a good job on the roads either.3 -
For a water meter they generally say if the number of people living in the property is less than number of bedrooms you are better off on a meter. I'm in a massionette so can't actually go on a meter very annoying.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200
*Virgin Credit Card - £3552.50 - £0
*Natwest - £1828.35 -£0.00
Barclaycard - £2315.25 - £0.00
Creation Finance - £960.32 £840
*Total debt - £8040/£11641.17*
Savings
*Savings Buffer - £100/£1500
*Emergency Fund - £1500/£1500

You can choose to have the meter removed in the first two years.alt80 said:I’m reluctant to go on a meter as you can’t go back.
