  • Got a bit heavy handed with the chillies in the soup this lunchtime :)

Unfortunately when the other half picked them all they have all gone into the same bowl so it is a bit of a lucky dip as to what you end up with. The mega hot ones are tiny so easy to identify but the other three all look very similar but range from very mild to rather hot.
  • You may have helped me confirm which of the mixed bag we were given are the super-hot ones...we had a suspicion it was probably the smallest of the lot!

Yuk to the chillis………I can’t stand them.
pleased to hear the tests are negative. You really don’t want a positive this close to Christmas.

We have chillies with absolutely everything 🤣🤣🤣

The other half has phoned up and he is going to bring us something home for dinner as we are both feeling a bit under the weather, so the salmon will save for tomorrow.

Not a no spends day today. We have a home shopping delivery coming this afternoon.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores though. Breakfast was cereals, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having a jacket potato with tuna for my lunch and dinner tonight is salmon with rice and vegetables.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • load of washing (dried in the dryer)
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • walking the dog x 2
I'm still not feeling 100% and have woken up with a bunged up ear again and the start of a cold. I will take another LFT later just to be on the safe side but I'm fairly sure it is just a cold now. Suppose in a way it's better to get it this week then over Christmas.
  • Definitely better to get it now I reckon - that was my feeling with mine last week. Hope you're feeling better soon!

The walk in centre I was going to get my booster jab at next week has gone to appointment only.  So I have just battled with the NHS website to book an appointment. At one point I was number 15,000 in the queue!

Got booked in just up the road at our local vaccination centre for 8am on Friday which was a lot sooner than I though I would get in 😀

Great news. A Scottish colleague said it’s a nightmare getting a booster where he is, queues of several hours at the centres.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I’m wondering whether MrEH will get his tomorrow as he hopes - we’ll see!

All sounds good @RelievedSheff especially your 2022 breaks booked and paid for. The wife and I are doing something similar over Christmas, just getting it all sorted. Can’t say I’ve even tried getting a booster yet I should have done tbf as my Mrs keeps reminding me I’m in the ‘oldies’ age bracket now haha fml.

@Grumpelstiltskin My Mrs has made that before lol actually read the recipe and thought I could get son to make that for us one day with a bit of help so thank you.
