I've also had to take a test this morning as I feel unwell. It's come back negative but will take another one tomorrow to be on the safe side. My daughter's first LFT was negative and she's just recovered from Covid.

Yes. I think the other half will have another one tomorrow as well just to be on the safe side.
  • If he'd not tested in the last few days too RS then I think the recommendation is that if you have an "covid-ish" symptoms (which of course with Delta include cold-like stuff) then to book a PCR. I was immensely relieved when the cold from hell hit last week that I'd been testing every couple of days so could be confident I was clear! It's certainly not a point where you want a positive test though is it - my cousin's household have it doing the rounds - only his wife's not not had a positive so they're hoping she either stays clear or gets a positive fast - like today - now!

My new debit card arrived in the post this morning so I have just been updating the accounts I use it on a regular basis and the auto fill settings.

While I was at it I have removed all of the credit cards from the auto fill. We have not been using the credit cards much at all so they don't need to be on the autofill.

Phones are so good now I'm not sure you need a proper camera. Although could just be lost on me ha.

Re debit card, I removed my cards from autofill/ apple wallet etc just over 6 months ago no option to pay as I don't keep the cards somewhere particularly easy to get to = no spends. There are days it would be nice to have access and I need to work towards having some kind of access to personal money nor am I suggesting it a road for you to go down.

Not a no spends day today. The other half is going to pick the last of the Christmas presents up after work and some birthday cards.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having sweet potato, chilli and coconut soup for my lunch and dinner tonight is salmon with rice and vegetables.

    Todays jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • walking the dog x 2
The other half has taken another C19 test which has come back negative. He still feels a bit off colour. I have woken up with a bunged up ear and feeling generally a bit off so I will take a test shortly as well. Hopefully it's just the time of year catching up with us both and us being ready for a break from work.

Your lunch and dinner sound delicious. It seems there are a few lurgies doing the rounds as well as Covid.

My test has come back negative as well. Definitely feel as though there is something lurking though.

  • I have had a bit of spare time this morning due to an IT problem at work so I have started to book some sites for our 2022 trip to Devon and Cornwall in the van and look for some places where we can park up overnight. It does seem that there are quite a few car parks in Devon and Cornwall which now allow overnight stays for motorhomes which is encouraging.

So I think we can do the full 16 day trip stopping at 4 campsites with the remainder of the stops being car parks and pubs which we much prefer anyway.

Our 2022 holidays will be pretty much organised, booked and paid for by the end of 2021 at this rate :)

The Isle of Wight is all paid for and sorted for our July weeks break including the ferry, our bank holiday breaks for Easter and the Jubilee long weekend are booked and paid for. Fingers crossed we get some warmer and drier weather by heading south next year, we seemed to have a lot of cold and wet weather heading north this year!
