It looks like we are gearing up to go work from home again

There’s a high level discussion at work about it tomorrow. I think we all know what the outcome will be. My Scottish colleagues have been told to WFH so why do the government think England is safer.RelievedSheff said:It looks like we are gearing up to go work from home again
I think it will be for the best and free up public transport for those who can’t WFH.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
It has been noticeable in the last couple of weeks that buses around here are busier and being retired I only travel at quieter times. It will be interesting to see if this reduces.

I hope they don’t decide to make it mandatory again - with no more support that would be my job gone if that happened, at least for the short term. Sigh.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Despite it being all hands on deck yesterday preparing for working from home again it has been distinctly quiet on the subject today in the office.
I had hoped we might get an answer today but it doesn't look like it so far.2 -
We have been told to WFH with immediate effect. You can still go in for mental wellbeing reasons or business reasons but they are shutting up some of the buildings again after only just opening them up. It suits me fine, no more walking to work in the dark and sitting on my own all day just to tick a box once a week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

MrEH’s firm were told earlier in the week that they were encouraged to WFH if they would prefer, but that they could continue to go into the office a couple of days a week if that suited them. Pretty much everyone there travels by public transport though as it’s central London, and Omicron is hugely prevalent in London at the moment, so that may be a lot to do with it.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The company OH works for has not returned to the office since the first lockdown. Occasionally one or two members of staff have gone for the odd day but mainly everyone is happy working at home. OH has no intention of going to the office in the future.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
