I'm so glad I haven't got to venture out in this. The pavements look treacherous.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

The snow is melting nicely here now in Sheffield. If it continues at this rate it will be mostly gone by the time we are driving home.0

Its pay day.
Not a no spends day though. We have been and picked up a couple more Christmas presents this morning on the way to work. That's all of the big stuff bought now. I'm just waiting on a couple of deliveries and then I will wrap them all up, probably tomorrow which I think is the delivery date for one parcel. Just got a couple of little bits left to get now but nothing major now. The big Christmas spending is done.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun salmon with jalapeno rice and vegetables.
We are hoping that the terminals arrive today for the van battery so we can get that fitted after work. It needs charging before we can use it at the weekend!!2 -

If I remember rightly it's where the whole "tilly tidy" thing started - people feeling mildly offended by untidy bank accounts! Previous to that was the "Virtual Sealed Pot" challenges which involved rounding down of accounts as well.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I have just started to round the bank balance down again and put the "change" in the savings account. Been a bit lazy with this of late but before we bought the van it was surprising how the little bits added up over time.
We need to start properly with the savings once the car HP loan is paid off.
We will have the van MOT, tax and insurance to pay shortly after the car loan is paid off in February. It would be nice to have the money set aside for this in advance.
We need to get the gearbox sorted on the Hyundai as well at some point. That has not magically healed itself yet

First small over payment sent to the mortgage account today. Nothing major just over £5 to round the payment to a nice round number.
We have a home shopping delivery coming tonight and we have had to put some fuel in the car as well so not a no spends day again.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores though. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is spag bol and garlic bread. Something nice a simple tonight.
The battery for the van is turning into a mockery of a sham now. The other half brought the wrong tools homes last night to fit it. Tonight is the night though I have been promised. We shall see.
Tonights jobs for me are cleaning the bathrooms and perhaps sticking a load of washing on, although that could wait until tomorrow and sorting and putting away the shopping delivery.3
