I like the little Christmas rituals - we go to the same place for our tree, pick it together and then have lunch there where they usually have a pianist playing Christmas music, open fire etc. By the time we get home the tree has usually been dropped off.

The dog usually picks out a nice bauble. He has picked a little bluebird this year 😀

It will be a no spends day today.

Full English for breakfast and roast pork with all the trimmings later on for dinner. 

Today we are putting the outside lights up and fitting the new battery in the van. Will take the dog for a long walk somewhere as well. Might head up to the golf course for a walk today. Not been up there for a while.

We are going to make a start on wrapping Christmas presents later on. Need to sort out a courier to get MIL's gifts up to Scotland as well.

Fitting the van battery has not gone well. We have had to order some different terminals online. They should arrive in the next couple of days. Need to get that fitted by next weekend. We are off out in the van again on Saturday. 

The other half has done the outside Christmas lights though. Just waiting for it to go dark now 😀

While he was busy outside I have wrapped the Christmas presents we have bought so far. Need to pick up a few more in the week. Will wrap them as soon as I have them. We can start delivering them then. Get then out of the way.

It has just started snowing here. It's quite heavy at the moment and starting to settle. I don't think it is forecast for long though.

Just prepared dinner for later on. And the washing in the machine is not far off dry so will get that put away and then it might be time for a beer.

Managed to work the timer for the outside lights this year. Really not sure why we struggle so much with what should be a simple item 🤣🤣🤣
