Hope the dog is better today - poor boy.

Balances coming down nicely too. The battery is a fair expense but sounds like you're prepared for it.

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is salmon with jalapeno rice and vegetables.

    Today's jobs include:
    • vacuuming the house
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • walking the dog
    • removing the passenger seat from the van so that we can measure the battery box (the other half tried to do this last night but didn't have all of the tools that he needs at home)
The dog obviously feels much better this morning. He has woken up full of energy and has been bouncing around the house. I'm sure he has woken up with ADHD this morning  :o

You're doing brilliantly @RelievedSheff keeping on plan although you always seem to be living life, tbh I almost always smile when I read your diary. Your general attitude to life never mind dealing with your finances which clearly have come back from the absolute brink is an inspiration to us all.

This is probably sticking my nose in where its not wanted so I apologise in advance. I happened to ention your plans for a lithium ion battery for the mo ho to my DH. He was an electronics engineer before retirement and although he admits his kbnwledge may be out of date he thinks it could be a mistake to go for the L I. Their life is much shorter and unless you have the correct equipment for the solar it could over charge.
All I am saying before you go for it make sure you do some research to check it is right for you and the van as they are not a cheap option. I dont mean to offend so please ignore this if you want.

Not a no spends day today. We have ordered the new leisure battery this morning. So that is £540 spent. We don't have a 0% credit card so have bought it using Paypal Credit on a 12 month 0% deal instead which works out at £45 per month.

Other than the above there are no other spends today. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is chilli.

I have stuck a load of washing in which should be dry by the time we get home and ready to put away. I might clean the bathrooms tonight as well while the other half walks the dog.
