Dog has been sick again so he isn't right. ☹
We know from the boat that you only get a few years from leisure batteries at best so if its the original battery it's about right for replacing it.1 -
He’s not snaffled something he shouldn’t have done has he? Hopefully he’ll be better in the morning.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

We have not seen him eat anything he shouldn't have but he could have I suppose.
He is asleep again now. Hopefully he will sleep it off.1 -
The dog has woken up full of beans so the snooze obviously did the trick.
He has been out playing in the garden and refused to come back in and has been running a mock in the kitchen.
He has just eaten some dinner which was left down so will see if that stays down. Should probably have taken it up and not let him eat anything just yet but he has had it now. So fingers crossed it stays where it is!2 -
So pleased to hear he seems to be better now. They are a worry at times.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

He has gone a bit quiet again now. Probably wasn't a good idea him eating 🤔0

£393 paid to the motorhome HP loan today.
It will be a no spends day other than this.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is beef in black bean sauce with noodles and spring rolls.
We need to run the vacuum cleaner round after work and have a bit of a tidy up in the kitchen and the other half is going to remove the passenger seat in the van so that we can measure the battery compartment and see what size leisure battery we can get in there. We are hoping that we can squeeze a 150ah battery in there for some extra capacity.
The dog is still poorly. Didn't hear a peep out of him last night but this morning he has promptly woken up, run downstairs and vomited on the hallway carpet.
He still seems bright and alert and he is in-between bouts of vomiting playing and showing an interest in food and he is still drinking so we don't think it is anything too serious. He has gone to work with the other half happily enough. He is on strict instructions today that he can only have a couple of very small portions of his biscuits if he wants them.1 -

Won't be a cheap job though. We were looking through some Lithium Ion leisure batteries online yesterday and we will be looking at about £500 for a 100ah battery and about £635 if we can squeeze the 150ah battery in.
We will also upgrade the solar controller at the same time. The one fitted from standard is a PWM controller. We will upgrade it to a MPPT controller which should be about 30% more efficient. It will be another £100 or so for that.
We don't plan to sell this van for a long time so we don't mind upgrading a few bits like this but what we have said we will do is keep the older kit and swap it back if we do decide the sell or swap the van at some point, so we only have to buy it once. Especially the battery wish should in an average user setting last more than 10 years trouble free.1
