Have a good one @RelievedSheff
Shame about the dogs not getting on though.Haha enjoy Mablethorpe lol also not been there in many, many years hope it’s improved a bit since. You’ve reminded me every now and again when my son was 3/4 we used to take him for an odd day trip to Skegness he loved the rides and all the tat you can buy then onto Sutton on Sea for a dressed crab. Used to be a good day he’s probably a bit old for it now though idk.1 -

Fortunately no damage done and all is good this morning. We feared the worst if I'm honest and thought it would have tipped theirs over the edge!
The bus never arrived this afternoon so we didn't make it to Mablethorpe 🤣🤣🤣
We were stood like idiots at the bus stop in the rain. We have instead had a few beers back at the vans and are just getting ready to head to the pub shortly for a few beers and some dinner.
The pub is really friendly. Love it here. Just a shame we can't be inside making the most of it. We will be back again. The site is basic bit had all you need.

What a shame you can’t sit inside, looks like a nice ‘proper’ pub. Thankfully only a couple of days to go before we can all go inside a pub - forgotten what they look like 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

It is a shame the weather was rubbish yesterday, we would have liked a few more beers at the pub, but we did brave a few beers and a steak dinner in the beer garden before we retired back to the vans.
We will be back here once the weather improves and we can have a proper drink in the pub. It is such a friendly place.
Today will be a no spends day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Bacon and black pudding sandwiches for breakfast, quiche for dinner and roast pork for dinner later with Yorkshire pudding and roasties.
We are sadly heading home today. We have really enjoyed it here despite the rubbish weather. We are happy that we made the right choice with the van after a couple of rubbish weather days away with it. The huge lounge has proven invaluable.6 -
Glad to hear you’ve enjoyed it despite the weather. Any van trips next weekend - can at least sit inside.2

Nothing major just fitting some shelves in the wardrobe and outside locker and fitting luggage straps to strap everything down on the shelves in transit.
It's a job that needs doing really to sort out the storage onboard. There is loads of space but no real way to use it at the moment.
Also got the neighbours coming round for dinner on Saturday night. We went to theirs ages ago but have not had the chance to return the favour with all the lockdowns and restrictions. Going to do it now while we have the chance!3 -
You’d think they’d fit that kind or stuff from factory. Anyway you’ll get it sorted mate.
Sounds good re neighbours- good you get on. There’s an old couple next to me after my Mrs dumped a tree in his garden don’t even !!!!!! ask lol but think I mentioned it before and I told him after I’d been on the chang at a BBQ that his Mrs needs knock the door when he croaks it because I’ll 100% buy his house, I don’t think they’d be interested in coming to a dinner party hosted by me.1 -

We are putting the shelves in in a way that they can be removed with minimal damage to the van should we decide to sell the van at a later date.
Really don't think this van is going anywhere for a long time though. I can see it being like the boat where 13 years down the line we are torn apart selling it 😀
If anything we are enjoying the van more in these early weeks than we did the boat 🤔
We never got on with our neighbours at the old house. We all moved in together at the same time here. Fortunately we have a really good set of neighbours around us and we all get on really well.2 -
Nice thing about the van is you can easily take it anywhere - I assume that’s more difficult with the boat?Glad you’re enjoying it mate anyway.Suppose that’s the thing with living in a new build almost create your own community when you move there - lot of people I know living on new estates seem to be close to their neighbours. Tbf I get on ok with my neighbours no issues really I just have no !!!!!! filter and say some !!!!!! awful stuff I’d never say otherwise when I’ve been on it more me not being able to face them rather than not getting on. Another reason for me to call it a day for good mate ha.2
