We are having to get used to van times rather than boat times 🤣🤣🤣
Boat time to Nottingham 3 days.
Van time to Nottingham 45 minutes
It is taking some getting used to. We keep thinking places are days away rather than in hours 🤣🤣😍2 -
haha fml I reckon I could walk from Worksop to Nottingham in 3 days mate. Life in the slow lane on that boat lol.

£251 paid to the car HP today. Other than that it will be a no spends day.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Crumpets for breakfast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having cheesy pasta for my lunch and dinner tonight is smoked haddock fishcakes with vegetable rice and some fresh vegetables.
Today's jobs include:- working from home
- cleaning the kitchen
- rearranging a couple of cupboards in the van (swapping the food cupboard and the crockery cupboard over)
- walking the dog x 2
The other half is dropping off one of our nephews birthday presents on his way home from work so he will be a bit later home tonight than usual.
A few parcels should start arriving today. Some bits we have bought for the van. Again nothing expensive but little bits and bobs that will make living with the van that bit easier. I'm actually looking forward to this weekend and sorting out the shelving. This will make a huge difference and free up loads of space in the wardrobes and outside locker. We also have a few board games coming to stick onboard for those wet horrible weather days.4 -

I know what you mean about the grass if ours gets much longer it will need a scythe not a lawn mower and there are big black clouds in the sky so I dont think it will be long before it rains again. Is 7.45 too early to cut the grass bearing in mind we live in a terraced house?Could really do with cutting the grass but we are struggling to string together a dry enough period to get it done. It is getting longer and longer!!

I’m so glad I cut ours last week. Sounds like it’s all coming together with the van with lots of good times ahead, money well spent.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

The van is getting there. We knew it would take some time to get it how we want it and to suit us. It took long enough with the boat. If anything the van seems a bit easier to sort out than the boat was. It is also much handier having it on the drive so we can keep tinkering with bits and bobs while we are at home. It was always a pain having to drive over to the marina to do jobs on the boat, usually getting there to realise the tools you needed were at home. Much easier at homeSun_Addict said:I’m so glad I cut ours last week. Sounds like it’s all coming together with the van with lots of good times ahead, money well spent.

Always good to customise the van to suit yourself. I’m pretty sure we’ll end up doing similar. It definitely a plus having it on the drive.
The meal plan sounds lovely.January spends - £587.582 -
Just managed to get the grass cut. It was borderline a bit wet for doing it but it has clouded over now and looks like we are in for more rain so I'm glad I have done it when I did. It certainly looks a lot better for it.1
