£500 paid to Card 3 today.

Other than the above it should be a low spends day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having stewing steak and vegetables for my lunch and dinner tonight is just a pizza and some chips when we get to the campsite.

We will have to pay the site fees when we get there but we don't know if the pub will have shut for the evening when we arrive or not. If it is still open and not raining we may well have a couple of drinks there before retiring to the van.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • loading the van up
    • walking the dog x 2
It should be a quieter day today both at home and at work, well hopefully anyway.

Have a great weekend with your friends.  We're not going away this weekend as DH is playing golf!  I'd much rather be away though.

@maddiemay going by the age you said you were to me a while back you must have been around for some amazing events nostalgia stuff now but for real current back then. From what people have told me cars were a much bigger thing mid century to 80s. Might have just been because I was a kid but more people seemed to have an interest then now it’s all mpg and eco !!!!!!.

Hope you have a nice time in the caravan.

@RelievedSheff great to see the figures all going right direction. Debts being paid classic car in the garage and out with those who matter every weekend in the van you’ve got life made mate don’t even know you but I’m so pleased for you. Know I take the !!!!!! but that van is really smart in the living bit.

Thanks all. Will try and have a good time. Hoping that the weather forecast is wrong though otherwise we could be getting towed back out of the field on Sunday :)

Itching to get that Card 3 paid off now. Three more payments and we are there with it. Just want to see the back of that card. Paying that one off will also free up a decent amount of cash each month.

Need to get Cards 4 and 5 onto a new 0% deal as well in July when my CCJ has dropped off my credit file. We can then start to make a real dent into getting those paid off as well.

Things are starting to slot into place. No more easy wins after Card 3 is paid off though. We will have to settle in for the long haul when that one is gone. But with the mortgage now on a new 5 year fixed deal and the van on a 5 year HP deal, our aim is to have the cards paid off before remortgage time comes around again. We would like to shave a few more years off our mortgage term again when the remortgage comes around again. We have a long while to think about that though.

It should be a low spends day today.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores but we will probably grab lunch while we are out. Full English for breakfast and a vegetable quiche, chips and vegetables for dinner.

The pub was shut when we got here last night so it was a few beers outside the vans with out friends instead. It was nice to catch up with them. But our dogs still don't get on. They never have so no change there 😅😅😅

The site is lovely and quiet. We heard nothing in the night at all. The birds are singing now though.

Think we are catching the bus into Mablethorpe today.
