Big congratulations on the van @RelievedSheff 🥂

You don’t waste anytime getting out in it though expected no less. It def looks better out in the wild than up the side of your house. Fml bet you were worried it wouldn’t fit lol hope you’re both good at parking.
    Good to hear from you.

We were a bit concerned it wasn't going to fit and we had somehow measured something wrong 🤣🤣🤣

On a site today. Much preferred wild camping yesterday to be honest but we need to make sure everything is working so have it plugged in today.

Had a lovely walk along the beach with the dog this afternoon. He is shattered now, won't be much trouble this afternoon.

Got some nice steaks for dinner later. Need to get to grips with this cooker!

Thought you would have been BBQing!  The cooker gets easier over time.  Timings tend to be slightly longer than cooking at home but not by much.

We are heading home today to get a couple of bits done at home. Back out on the van tomorrow though.

Full English for breakfast this morning. Not sure what we are having for dinner tonight. Need to get something out of the freezer when we get home.

It has been a busy day today. Time seems to have run away with us somehow 🤔

We didn't get home until about 1pm due to the traffic on the way back which we hadn't expected.

By the time we had put a few bits on the van that we had forgotten and given it a quick clean inside the farm shop was shut so we have not got the fruit and veg yet. I have enough for the next couple of days but we will have to find some on our way back home on Monday.

It has been a pretty productive afternoon though. I have made a shepherd's pie for dinner on the van tomorrow, the house has been cleaned, the van has been cleaned and I have oiled the new chopping board with several coats of danish oil.

Time for a beer now and we are getting a take out curry later.

Sounds like the beer and curry are well earned 🍻

It won't be a no spends day today. We are meeting some friends for a walk and some lunch in Castleton today. We are hoping to find a spot to park the van up for the night but we know it will be busy being a bank holiday weekend. With this in mind we are setting off early this morning!

Breakfast and dinner are from stores though. Toast for breakfast and tonight we have shepherd's pie and vegetables.

The dog will be getting a good walk today when we meet our friends. It is 18 months since we last saw them. They were our inspiration for getting the van. We almost always went away together on the boats, their boat was the same as ours. They sold up a couple of years ago to buy a van. As it happens they never bought their van due to a combination of events and a lack of time but they do hire one a few times a year instead. I'm sure at some point we will get away with them in a van.
