We had a quick beer on the van last night before we went back in to eat the curry I had made 😃

    It was very cosy.

Today we have a few more jobs to do and some more gear to load onboard and then we should be ready to head out on our maiden voyage.

We are not going far. Only half an hour up the road to try everything out.

It won't be a no spends day. We need to buy a new disklok. The spare one we have in the garage is too small for the van wheel unfortunately.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores though. Bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast, pork pie and pickles for lunch and dinner is steak and kidney pie, chips and vegetables.

He was very bemused by the whole van concept yesterday. Guess it's a land boat to him!

He settled very quickly though once he had a good rummage around and checked where his bed, toys and bowls were.

Just got to our first stop over.

Slight problem when we got here. Whoever did the hab check didn't screw the lid back on the water tank properly so when we pulled up there was a bit of water sloshing around in the back. Carpets are outside drying!

    Nothing too bad fortunately.

  • Looks like you're at a lovely spot! I hope the rest of your time away goes without any hiccups :)

Looks a lovely stopover.  What a pain about the water sloshing about in the back - at least it's dry today and you can get the carpets dried outside.  Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Can't wait to get away again - we're off again tomorrow for a long weekend.  Hope the weather stays good.

Enjoy what a nuisance the carpet getting wet but better to find out now than on a longer trip
