Read your news about the van, 100 would be tripping me off. Does poss seem like some sort of cash flow issue dealer side. I’d step carefully - are they providing a warranty? If some kind of in house thing I’d probably be thinking not worth the paper it’s written on. Can’t think of much else they could be providing as an ongoing service so if everything else is right with the van then hopefully this is nothing but a blip - I assume you had an independent inspection?

Penrith looks nice and tbh think you got the better deal swapping that Nissan for a big lump of wood mate. Weather been amazing lately might even get home looking like I’ve been to somewhere sunnier ha thunderstorms are 100 waiting for me taking the wife out first weekend back lol so you’ve been warned.
I know the lump of wood will last longer than the car 🤣🤣🤣

It is an independent 3 year warranty we have with the van. Full value of the van for 1 year then max £1k in the second year and £500 in the third year so need to find anything major in the first 12 months really.

We are annoyed with the delay. But it will hopefully only be a few days.

You keep well buddy. Missing your daily banter 😀

No idea why I'm wide awake at this time 🤔

It should be a no spends day today. Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Egg and soldiers for breakfast and roast pork with all the trimmings later.

The other half's step dad is coming round this morning for an hour or so. Not seen him for ages so that will be nice.

Think we are going to jet wash the drive today while we have the chance and it's empty.

I'm awake because the burglar alarm in the house over the road is faulty and keeps going off at odd times. 5:55am this morning  and it woke my son so I'm up to make breakfast. It'll be a no spend day here too - I'm going out at 11am to paint my friend's kitchen. I hope you enjoy your day 😊

So annoying about your van.....it’ll be all the sweeter when you get it. Absolutely terrible service.

We are trying not to let it upset us too much. We are thinking of things to keep us occupied for a few days this coming week.

We will get out and about and enjoy our time off.

We had a lovely walk this morning in the local woods. The dog loved it and the bluebells looked lovely in the sunshine.

We had a lovely lunchtime with FIL in the garden. The dog loved that again and has run around chasing his ball. He is now fast asleep in the kitchen absolutely shattered.

The drive looks much better for its clean down. We borrowed an attachment for the jet washer from next door and it has done an amazing job. Must buy one at some point.

Just put the pork in the oven for dinner. Didn't realise how big a piece it was 🤔

My bluebells are just starting to make an appearance. My mum gave them to us so I always think of her when they appear. I’m glad you had a nice time with FIL. My dog loves visitors, especially if they throw her ball 😆

He didn't know what to do with himself this weekend the dog. He has had visitors Friday evening, Saturday and this lunchtime after a long period of no visitors at all. He has loved it.

To be honest we have enjoyed it as well. A sense of some kind of normality again.

It probably won't be a no spends day today.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores but we will probably have lunch out. Scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast and pork in black bean sauce for dinner.

Today we are taking the dog out somewhere. Not decided where yet. Maybe out into the Peak District.

We had a lovely day out in the Peak District yesterday. The weather was gorgeous for it.

When we got back we went to the local pub for a few pints. We also had a phone call to say that the paperwork for the van was now in order and that the finance had been paid out.

We are waiting for the phone call today to say that we can go and pick it up.

It won't be a no spends day today. We need to go to the butchers and probably the farm shop as well.

Today will be spent waiting for the phone to ring which will hopefully be this morning so that we can get the van sorted out for tomorrow 😀
