Afternoon
All bed sheets changed and washed this morning. Then I popped out with some friends to have a lovely lunch. We went to a Miller and Carter, a place I hadn't been to before. They do absolutely gorgeous steaks there, 100% would recommend if you haven't been. The meal must of finished me off because unfortunately when I got home I nodded off in my chair holding a cup of coffee. As my head dropped in a doze, so did my coffee, straight into my lapNo burns luckily, just a rather conspicuous wet patch on my trousers and soaking wet knickers
Also thankful nobody was watching, it's rather amusing watching me dance about trying to get my trousers off in the middle of the lounge
Hope you're day was slightly less damp than mine

Well I am glad you explained that DonnaLee, I wondered what the picture was all about! It could have been a nasty accident, hope you are all dried out.
I messaged DS to ask him to call at the shop and get oven chips on his way home. He went to the shop and got sausage rolls, crisps, some nice bread and some mixed berries squash. His face was a picture when I asked where the chips were. I told him I am allowed to do things like that at my age but he is only 21!!
Hard going at the paid stuff today, glad its weekend. Three bags taken to clothing recycling bank, need to sort out summer stuff this weekend. A bit of flying to do in the morning but DH is supposed to be working. No idea what the weekend brings.
Feet up now and a little G&T to ease myself into the weekend.8 -
Evening
Nearly 12 hours of paid stuff today, but now I’m finished and I have a week off woot woot! After work I have washed the bedding and put it TD to dry, loaded wm again, remade bed with fresh linen, quick vac of stairs and ground floor, made supper, washed up and reset kitchen, folded and put away dry laundry, gift wrapped a present for my Mum and made a pack up for tomorrow, we are off to a Natty trust place, going to meet my Mum and sis, not seen them since Xmas!
Hope you are all ok, I will be back to check in on Sunday xx7 -
Well, I did 4 loads of washing today, but it was so still, yet looked so stormy, that I didn't bother to hang them out. The forecast for tomorrow is sunshine, so they will be out on the line first thing.
Nothing much else achieved, except sending cards and emails- oh, and Rosie's walk

All washing ironed other than 1 pillowcase and a king size duvet cover, given to my by DS's GF because she thought it was a double. Anyway it's been freshened up. Really useful box of gift bags decanted into empty drawers in back bedroom. Wicker hamper, handbag storage, on top af wardrobes in back bedroom, pile of stuff for CS now organised Hoping to get it all flung in the next few days. DW and WM primed.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

ionafan said:Narc0, that all sounds extremely complicated. Glad to hear that you've got plenty of work - will MrN be on flying duty? xx
Lots more boring and complicated web site reading today as I ploughed my way through all the uni advice and guidance on what we should and shouldn't expect when returning to work. Filled in the form my manager sent me, fairly incomprehensible. However the new lady I've taken on to tutor privately has been allocated 96 hours support with me which is pretty astounding, I've never heard of anyone funded for that much - not that I'm complaining. Yesterday my uni manager said there were about 20+ students who had applied for assessments, so that looks promising (although I share the task with an agency, who often do 2 assessments each day; I only like 1).
Did a half hour core training class at the gym, bit scary as although the studio normally takes 20 people, the limit of 10 at the moment still looked crowded when you're not used to seeing people. Still I took my own mat and there were plenty of wipes and sanitiser everywhere. As it was only a short class I decided to stop half way home and do a run, very pretty as it was alongside first one river then another. GI it worked out 5.1km so that may be an alternative NotParkRun.
Mr N is having an 'eat less meat' planet panic at the moment so I concocted something with rice, spinach and cheese. Thought of making arancini which I've always loved on holiday, but apparently the rice needs to be cooked and cold to make the balls so as I only read the recipe as I was starting to cook, I put the rice in flat clumps on a baking tray, piled finely chopped cooked spinach/leek/grated cheese mixture on top with gf breadcrumbs then baked them. It wasn't bad.
More flying? Well I did a load of washing up this morning. And swept the kitchen floor. Oh and watered the greenhouse and harvested tomatoes.
Contacted a couple of friends who I hope to visit when I go to Dorset and Devon with Mum in a couple of weeks.
Rang my co-dog walker as we are both concerned about my friend (her neighbour) the dog owner; I rang her today on her land line to see if she wanted me to take the dog out and she told me she was away for a few days so not at home......sad. I'm trying to think of a way of having a chat with her daughter to see if she wants me to do anything, I don't want her to think I'm prying, but it may be that in a situation like today, the dog actually did need walking as G was clearly at home having answered her land line.
My to do list seems to have just got longer today even when I've done things.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
The last couple of days have been very busy with paid stuff (making sure educational establishments are Covid safe), walks with dogs and walks with DH, so only the dailies have been done. I'll report back with any progress today as I go.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -

Morning xx
The power of flylady strikes again - DS had a better second day. Thank you ladies xx His anxiety was back this morning, but not so extreme. I stayed in bed and let him get on with it - he knew I was awake if he needed me but apart from a last minute 'have I remembered everything?' check, it was 'love you' and away he went. He's going straight to pigpen land from work tonight so I won't see him until Tuesday evening or Wednesday evening. His next shift after today is on Wednesday - not sure if he'll go to work from GF's or want to leave from home. GF is home alone as her parents have gone on holiday so he can relax with her and 'play house' - it that's what they call it these daysfor a few days.
I've made my bed, opened DS's bedroom curtains, brought down DS's drinks bottles and an empty can, and supped my first brew. I need to get dressed next as Mr M is delivering this morning.
My kitchen looks much better after yesterday's ministrations. I WUDUPA another bowl of pots while the oven was warming / tea was cooking.
Round 1 =
get dressed
feed the birds
put out the recycling
WUDUPA a bowl of pots
sort washing in to loads
Have a lovely day ladies.
