Evening all,
Out for most of the day to-day...took friend to maternity hosp for her check up...sugar in urine so hopefully nothing wrong there...she is huge and has just had her third meal since 4pm...have warned her off sugar...her favourite snack lately has been doughnuts. She is not going to be very well off when baby is born as don't think any maintenance will be forthcoming from baby's father (long story!) so I have been trying to pin her down and go through her finances with her...she has a €300 pm loan, spends €80 pm on mobile phone, god knows how much on petrol and doughnuts, €500 rent and will have €1200 per month from now for 6 months! Nothing I can do really as she is unwilling to sit down and sort what she can and can't afford.
Glad you had a lovely day GrannyBroon, many happy returns!
Happy birthday to Ms dlb...all over now I presume.
Hester....Hugs!!
Smoky....special hugs to you and all your family, will be thinking of you.
Snowy....glad you survived dentist....wondered what the flashing light was I could see when I looked north...your sparkling teeth no doubt. Feel sorry for anyone living near the new Ikea store...first in Ireland...you'll really see southerners now...
Redruby...glad that you are home and ok...and tucked up nice and snug now I hope
PenPin...hope that OT sees to it that work is done soon rather than later.
Elona...glad that the graduation went well...its a proud moment isn't it?
Aussie...did you ever think of a bicycle???
See...I started out wonderfully and now I seem to have run out of steam, or memory so will just say hugs to all I have left out see you all to-morrow

I'll still be pedalling now Mean Marie. It's an 1hr bus trip.
Not to mention the heat, flies & traffic. I'm not that hardy you know.
Not much you can do really about your friend. Some people just have to learn the hard way. But it's frustrating when you can see it so clearly.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Get youself a motorbike Aussie! Keep the visor down to avoid swallowing flies, zip in and outof the traffic and get the wind in your hair to keep cool.
There are people all over the wolrd who would pay good money to see that.
And you could overtake buses.
Managed 3 hours sleep but a strange noise woke me (though it may have been a dream)
I'm trying to be quiet though as OH is up again in a few hours and he doesn't cope well with less than his statutory 9 hours.
Might try to make some cards in a mo.
Hope everyone else is sleeping better.0
