Morning All
((((Smokey and family)))
Jackie - enjoy the comfort food
Snowy - good luck at the dentist.
Many Happy Returns to Miss DLB & Happy Anniversary Grannybroon.
Still sweltering here in the Essex house. Heating is on full and has been all night!! Some of the radiators can be turned onto low but a few still on - managed to keep all the bedrooms cool at least.
Once done the school run will do my dailies (but no hoovering - too hot) and get back in the office. Need to get the books done for our old business so accountant can work the correct tax bill for January as the one we have is really scary.
DS has footie training tonight and we take one of his friends who comes straight from school, also have my nephew tonight. Hope that the gasman is finished by then as it will be chaos. Gas man is coming between 12 and 6 so fingers x'd.
Chilli and rice for tea tonight. Am waiting for more Xmas pressies delivery's and really need them to come this week so can wrap and sort.
Best be off now need to chivvy DS along.

Good morning everyone,
Well I had a lovely day with DSis. I got all my Xmas shopping bought bar one. That was DD's. Think I might give her a voucher to get a facial/nails/eyebrows done.Something like that. I'm sure she'd enjoy a pamper day for herself. She said she didn't want a dishcloth.
I got told off by the bus driver today. Creep that he was.I got off the bus stop before I should have. Don't ask me how I managed to do that but I swear it looked the same busway.
Looked around and didn't see any big shopping centre nearby
and thought I don't believe this. Saw another bus and walked over to it to ask the driver. Jumped on and no bus driver and it was empty. Looked around and he was getting a drink from the machine so I just waited. He marched over and told me to get off the bus that he had his money on it, blah, blah, blah. I asked him did he go to Garden City and he kept shouting to me to go up to the lead bus stop.
Like I knew where that was. I got off and he roared off and stopped a few feet up. Opened the doors and tooted his horn. I ignored him. I waited for the next bus. Someone yelled w.an.k.e.r at him.
I managed to get home safely and DGS was waiting at the ferry. They had just come down to have a walk. Lovely surprise. They've just left.
Granny Have a lovely anniversary and don't forget your promise.
Miss Dlb Happy Birthday
Smokey It's quite common to think you will die having an op. It must be playing on his mind something awful. You may just have to find the strength to cope with it all, I'm sure things will get better afterwards. ((hugs))
Snowy Good luck at the dentists & the vets. Don't get them mixed up.
Hugs to those feeling sick. There is a few of you. Well I better sort out the veggies before DH gets home. Have a great day. ByeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning All
Smokey don't know how long you've been trying to sleep to get up ready for work at 5.30am, but I've been doing it for a while. It does take a while to adjust. I go to bed by 9pm and get up at 4am. I'm still tired a lot of the time, but I think that's just common sense saying "why are you up at this stupid time of the day?"! Have you tried a hot milky drink or a camolile tea before bed? I find they help me when I can't sleep.
Well I'm off to pay the solicitor today as I've now found my cheque book. Will also fly around town to see if I can spy anything suitable for my friend's little one for Christmas.
WILL leave work on time today. Think 20 hours overtime in the last week with no day off is quite enough!
Hope everyone's ok - off to the marriages page to find help for my friendComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Good morning everyone,
Smokey - ((HUGS)) to you and OH, hope things improve soon so he can get his MRI and op.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GRANNYBROON
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS DLB
Scuzz - how did Saturday go? Did your friend manage to spend her £100 and find a bloke???
Snowy - Good luck at the dentist, and hope Mitzi will be better soon too xx
Extra ((HUGS)) to those who have poorly children or are poorly themselves xxx
Just the one LO here again today - its lovely only having the one (he is a little treasure, and its nice to have the 1 on 1 time) but i really do need to find another, i need the money, so fingers crossed for the new year.
Will be popping to Waitrose today, as i have a voucher, and also need to pop to the bank to pay this months wages in before all my bills come out and things start bouncing!
SC on with a nice lamb stew, and about to put the BM and WM on - the DW is nearly full, so that will go on later as well. Want to clean the kitchen floor today as well, but will do that after the LO has had his lunch.
Better get moving, school run to do!!!
Have a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good morning all,
Wet and dreary here today - thanks goodness I got all my washing dried yesterday.
Going to be busy this morning ironing and putting up the nets/curtains I washed yesterday. Also going to give the bathroom a good clean.
This afternoon I'm taking Mum shopping for new glasses - I also have 2 xmas pressies still to buy so hopefully I will get them today.
It's great not having to rush off to work in the morning, just tea, coffee and more tea LOL!
Have a good Tuesday everyone
PS I posted on the MF roll of honour board this morning - I would not have managed to pay off my mortgage early without the advice and support I have received daily from this site.

Good morning everyone
Day off today. :j :j Been working like a maniac recently so I intend to enjoy it - though I do have a governor's meeting at lunchtime to discuss the exclusion of a 6yo girl. The poor wee mite has every agency possible involved in her life but I suspect its a case of "too many cooks"..... Feel so sorry for her.
Smoky I hope that your DH manages to get the psoriasis and sugar levels under control soon so that he can have his operation. The stress must be doing something to his health - and yours, of course. (((( hugs))))
Snowy good luck at the dentist.
mioliere I hate having a tickly cough, especially at night. By accident I found that if I just try and breathe through the tickle when I'm lying down, it sort of clears itself. Maybe worth a try?
Happy Anniversary to Granny and Grandpaw Broon.
Happy Birthday to DLB's DD.
JackieO hope that cold shifts soon. It's amazing how something so minor can make you feel so rotten.
Aussie I'm convinced that it's part of the job description for bus drivers to be grumpy and moany here. They are such a miserable lot. If the job makes them so miserable, why do it?
Hi :hello: to everyone else I haven't mentioned. I have read your posts, honestly.
I'm waiting for DS's mobile to be delivered today and then my Christmas shopping is complete. I wrapped the rest of the presents at the weekend so I will get this one done today (if it arrives). I am tempted to treat myself to a couple of little pressies though - all the more to open on Christmas Day.
I have been emptying the freezer slowly but surely and my bank balance is looking healthier for it too. Dinner today will be some yellow-stickered meatballs in a HM tomato sauce with pasta and garlic bread. Lunch will be turkey salad on wholemeal.
WM is nearly finished and I haven't had breakfast yet so I had better get going. I was moving mattresses around (don't ask) and think I have twisted my back. Hope it isn't a bad strain.
Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning Guys!
I am feeling a little better this morning, just feeling sicky
I havent read the thread yet but hugs to everyone who needs them and those that dont!
WM has been on and clothes now on airer. DW will be on in a while. Kitchen has been wiped down, beds made and toilet cleaned.
The visit with the OT went well yesterday and they have agreed (depending on costs) to put a sink in the downstairs toilet as there are no washing facilities, so have to wash hands in the kitchen...not hygienic! There is no loo upstairs in the bathroom, so doesnt make much sense and I do think after doing some research that this could be illegal and against health and safety.
Also had a letter from the hospital this morning and have to go in for a pre-op assessment next Friday but not sure on the dates for the op
OH's niece popped in last night with her new baby as I hadnt been able to see her since she was born a few weeks back. She was adorable and NO...I dont want one:D ....oooo...did I tell you that OH has his visit for the SNIP next Saturday...just 4 days after our 14th anniversary:j :j :j :j :j :j .....I asked to watch but he said no
Wrapped 10 items up that I sold on Ebay Sunday/Monday and have made quite a bit so far for December.
Anyway, thats enough chat from me this morning. Just resting up today as I have more hospital visits tomorrow and need me strength.
Hope everyone is ok.

Good Morning All
What a relief, I thought me & the kids was at the dentist today, but its tomorrow. Phew! But then that means Ive got tomorrow to fret about!
Chicken in campbells mushroom soup, with pasta for dinner.
Happy Anniversary to Mr & Mrs GB, have a lovely day. I hope you find the card for DH. How frustrating is that! I brought my dad & step-mum a beautiful wedding anniversary card last year, lovely verse etc, put it safe! and even to this day, Ive never found it!
Happy Birthday to Miss dlb - hope she has a lovely day & evening at the party! If you need a hand, just shout up! Hope DS1 feels better soon.
I had a phone call last night from a kind old lady Ive known for nearly 21yrs. Her husband is very sick in hospital, and has been for the last 6wks. However, she as asked for me to go up when I can, as he has been asking for me and he has something he wants to give to me. They was old neighbours of mine, I knew when I was 13, always stayed in touch etc. And even to this day, they still have my picture on their side board of my passing out parade! They put me up for a few months when I was inbetween places and before joinging the Army. The old chap has always called me "his little soldier!"
Hello Smokey! here's hoping DH psoriasis clears up soon! Its not nice for anyone to go under all this stress!
Snowy - hope kitty's ok! My mum's at is a nightmare to get her in the box. She wee's, poo's & throws up! Have fun at the dentist! Im dreading my visit tomorrow!
Pink (((hugs))) to you & Adam.
moiliere - hope you feel better soon
Wave to donny-gal! Have safe trip!

Morning all,
Smoky - thinking of you and your oh
Snowy - good luck at the dentist
Happy birthday to Miss Dlb and happy anniversary to the Grannybroons
Busy day today - I need to finish and deliver job application form, take food and pressies to Belfast Central Mission (missed the deadline at church), do labels and prices for my chutneys, make some marmelade, wrap and post some pressies, Beavers tonight.......
I also want to go to Sainsburys for washing powder as Ikea opens on 14/12 and I'm sure I won't be able to get near Sainsburys for the traffic queues after that:eek: . I'm actually wondering if ds1's school bus will be able to get past the queues.
The dog is barking non stop ATM as the window cleaner is here and he hates ladders. Macaroni cheese tonight with a tomato layer (to use up the tomato sauce ds1 made in Home Ec) as it can go in the oven on timer for after Beavers.
Hugs to anyone who needs one - have a good day“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”
