e2save misleading info

It is true that the conditions state that they do not accept copies. However unfair conditions are not enforceable, and will be struck out in court.
So if anyone already has sent copies, and E2Save turn down your cashback for that reason, do not meekly accept it.Despite this, their cashback conditions (which we have to agree to when first ordering the phone) state:
So no-one should rely on your post and just send copies, hoping for the best.0 -
Their argument is that it is fair.
In this day and age it is easy to alter photocopied documents, or documents printed off the net.
This is one condition that it may not be straightforward to argue is unfair.
It is so much easier to copy the originals for your own files, and send them the originals as agreed rather than think I'll take them to court if they reject them.0 -
I would add that given people knowingly (or should have known) about that term I wouldn't feel confident trying to persuade a judge that I went ahead anyway, intending to rely on an unfair term.0

Hey Guy's
Me again.
Good news is I got a cheque from e2save.
It turns out that it is irrelevant which bill you send as long as the one you send is not more than 28 days old and that you send it at the right time. For anyone who is worried about when and how to claim my advice would be that the months issue is misleading, the only thing that matters is the 120 days or relevant amount of days for the claim you are making, send the last bill you have recieved by registered post on that 120 day deadline and in my very recent experience it should work out.
Also found out that they no longer send text to confirm reciept, which is why I phoned them to find out what was happening and was told about the fact, that which bill you send is irrelevant, it's the days that is important.
For anyone worried about the cost of calling, as I was, as I had heared that you could be held waiting for a long time on a 60p per minute line, I checked the cost with them and to call the claims number is only charged out at 3-7p per minute, which is not killing.
Maybe this company is not so dishonest after all.
Fingers crossed and good luck everyone.0 -
It is. Why do you think they purposefully mislead most if not all people by giving totally incorrect claim dates and information all over the place? If that's honest I'd like to see dishonest. As for the rest, there is nothing new. It may be helpful to re-state it but all that has been clear from the start. Bill numbers have NEVER been relevant - even on older contracts. The legal t&c are still contradictory and they do keep changing things on existing contracts - so beware and I won't be giving them much benefit of any doubt!0

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone could help. I'm on a pricematch deal with e2save at moment. I ordered the phone atthe end of sept (around the 26th).which would bring me to the 26th Jan for the 120 day period. i received my first bill on the 1st oct(bill 1) i have just received this week bill 4 which according to some of the t&cs is the one i should send but i have to send it after the 26th of jan? and before the 25th of feb. itdoesn't give me a big window for not allowing the bill to be no oldere than 28 days old. Shall i just send off bill 5 very sharpish when i get it on the 1st feb? Also do I need to send in a full itemised bill. I was too stingy to pay for this but on my t&cs it just says it wants my name address and no on the bill which is all covered by trhe bill i do get. thanx v. much in advance.0

anyone? help? please?0

Their conditions did say you should not send in summary bills, but send fully itemised bills - and they would only accept originals, no on-line print outs or copies.
On their website they now say they will accept on-line print outs if you have an o2 contract via cpw:'Price Match' customers must send their original network bill to ensure their claim is successful, this is with the exception of Carphone Warehouse O2 customers who are welcome to send online bills when making their claims.0 -
thanks quentin, i just hope it all doesnt go pearshaped!0
