*Update* - I was right! - Feel like I'm being cheated - Selling my car through a business...

Hi All,
Just looking for some advice on a situation I've found myself in. I'm currently selling my car through a 3rd party.
*Quick Summary*
-Selling car through 3rd party business (commission £2400)
- Car advertised at £16k
- Told a buyer found and my return would be £11250 (not brilliant but I'd go for it and agreed) - The buyer offered £13750 (I've never got that much off of a car ever?!!)
- 2 days later call to say cambelt is due and will cost £1k. I said no as the buyers already got £2250 off and they said they'd go halves.
- Requested a meet in the middle at 11k and they've said the headlining needs fixing now (was sagging slightly when I bought it from them so definitely when the buyer viewed) and they've also done an oil change (wasn't needed and they didn't ask my permission prior).
Do I accept £10.7k, £500 less than agreed, for fault repairs on a car advertised at £16k!?
I bought a fast estate for £15k a few years ago. I've since moved away and have nowhere to store it and the company I bought the car from offer a sales service. They store, advertise and deal with everything to do with the sale so it's a give and forget scenario - fuss free!
I only did 4k in the car during my 2 year ownership and the car is in very good condition as I'm an enthusiast and it meant that they could use all of the photos and description from when I bought the car.
The car is up for sale for £16k and they emailed this week to say they had a buyer and with the buyers offer, minus their commission would return me £11250. Not brilliant but not the worst and it'd mean the car was out of my hair. I accepted. They call back 2 days after saying that they've checked the paperwork and the car needs a cambelt as whilst it was done 10k ago, it was 5 years ago. The cost is almost 1k! They've said that they'll go halves with me meaning it'll be £450ish leaving me with a return on the car at £10799 (their commission is £2400). From a car advertised at 16k!!! Since when does a seller pay for the buyers work to the car?!? Either I'm missing something or I've always bought my cars from the wrong people!
I wrote back saying I would appreciate if they could meet me at 11k and I'll agree to the sale but they've responded saying they've changed the oil (no permission prior, didn't even know!) and they "now need" to repair the headlining which is sagging, it was sagging slightly when I bought it from them so would have been this way when the new buyer viewed!
My husband is stressed out with it all and telling me to just accept it to get it out of our hair but I'm feeling really sour about the prospect of being cheated out of my money.
Any advice/opinions?
Thanks, Victoria.

They've had it eight months and want issues sorting now. They are taking the pee and then some.1

What have they been doing with the car for the past 8 months?1

I appreciate the 'can't store it' bit but there must be an easy answer to that one. Try a dealer or WBAC OR if your 'brave' enough Advertise on Trader, see what they offer, if It's more than £10799+£795 then you have your answer.0 -
They've been advertising it but no buyers as of yet. Had one buyer but it fell through when the covid stuff hit.

Bit unrealistic pricing won't help - you're expecting to make a profit on it? It's not a classic car.2
