Morning
No work today, but I'm dropping presents to my family this afternoon (literally just dropping them off and going - I'm not going inside), and I'm trying to get some work done this morning. Got a few jobs I can do to bring more money in.
£10 from Panelbase came through this morning, so that has gone off the card. Balance is now £2,361.66.

Morning - I know it's really early. Since taking my new drug, I find that I don't need as much sleep, and my body clock just wakes me up really early. Always has done. Plus it's the only time of the day I can have some peace and quiet and time to myself!!
Anyway, pretty eventful day yesterday. It was announced in the afternoon that the majority of Hampshire would go into tier 4 on Boxing Day, including where I live, so I text my boss to say that I would have to shield again, but that I was fine to go into work yesterday and today. Went into work last night, where my boss was waiting for me, and basically told me to go home as they didn't want to risk it. So I am off now until goodness knows when. I knew it was coming, and although I do actually like going to work, I am slightly relieved as I was getting quite concerned about the situation and the risk of me getting the virus.
For some reason, I won't actually get furloughed until the 10th January. Something to do with the company policy, but I wasn't going to push it. I have got a week's holiday, which I asked if I could use in the meantime, so it's only really 4 shifts that will be unpaid. The extra hours I've done will pretty much cover that anyway, just means I won't be able to pay that off the card. It's not official yet, but my boss did mention something about being furloughed until the end of March, but I won't find out until the furlough kicks in on 10th January.
Also, being in tier 4 means that OH's mother will go back earlier. Her area will be tier 3, so I said she can't stay for as long as she planned. I think they're going back Monday. OH has to drive her, and is going to stay with her over the new year and then come back the day before he's due to start back at work (even though he's working from home). They are part of a support bubble, so he can still go to see her etc, but I will have to stay here whilst I'm shielding. I'll be glad to be on my own for a bit. There's a few things I want to sort out, get rid of some old clothes, clear out my wardrobe etc.
Being off work will mean I can concentrate on earning extra money to pay off the card too. I did really well back in March/April/May with that, and earned quite a bit each month. I know it's going to be a bit slow over the next week or two, but it should get busy again into January. I paid another £10 off the card yesterday, even though nothing came in, so the balance is now £2,351.66. The interest got added on last night, but I paid that off, as I didn't want the balance to go up. I think anything I get for Christmas, money wise, I'll pay off the card, as there isn't anything I need. I have a feeling OH's mum will give me some money.
Happy Christmas Eve everyone.

That's a shame you aren't being furloughed til 10th January, it's a bit weird as you are allowed to go in and out of furlough! At least your holiday will soften the blow.
Have a lovely Christmas and enjoy your few days peace when you get them"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1 -
Evening everyone
Nearly through Christmas day. Wish I could have spent it with my family, and it has been difficult spending it with OH's mother. We just don't see eye to eye on a lot of things and there are only so many times I can bite my tongue. I'm currently hiding out in my bedroom, counting down the days until she goes home!!
Anyway, I had a lot of nice presents, including a generous cheque from his mother, which I will pay off my card once it is in the bank. Also got some money and vouchers. Did Facetime with my sister and the kids when they opened theirs.
I paid off £4 from the card today, so the balance is now £2,347.66. I will get back into paying regular payments once my visitor has gone and I can start earning money again after Christmas.
Hope you all had a nice day,
Emz xx2
