I must be odd because I couldn't care less what my cards look like.
I guess soon cards won't be around, it will be all virtual. I suspect in five years, you may have to request a card, and instead they will have some kind of electronic delivery to your phone as default. Some Micky Mouse banks already do it.

    Which banks do it?
    Revolut

If you’ve ever lost your bank card, you’ll know how annoying it is to sift through your accounts for online purchases and update your card details.
Now, you can generate an impossible-to-lose Revolut's virtual card and use it for all of your online payments (Uber, Deliveroo etc.). You’ll never have this problem again!
Update to the latest version of our iOS and Android App to use this feature. To order a spare Revolut card, go to the ‘Card’ section of the App and swipe left on your virtual Revolut card.

Revolut is not a bank, and does not have FSCS protection.
I did say it was a Mickey Mouse bank. ie not a bank. But the big five banks are playing catch up now.
It's not even a Mickey Mouse bank as it is not a bank at all.
    I think we know that.

If we know that why would we then refer to them as a bank. [Rhetorical Q].

My original quote was "I guess soon cards won't be around, it will be all virtual. I suspect in five years, you may have to request a card, and instead they will have some kind of electronic delivery to your phone as default. Some Micky Mouse banks already do it."

By "Micky Mouse" I meant not a real bank.
  • They where supposed to switch from Visa Debit to Debit Mastercard, however I think they have quietly abandoned that now.
  • This new ad for the S&S account shows the new debit card design. I think it looks very nice, not that it makes any difference to anything. Nice for niceness sake I guess. https://youtu.be/-AEY_mNFe7M

The old style card is still showing on the TSB website next to the Spend & Save account.

I don’t think they are being introduced until later in the year, I saw a post on Twitter about it a few weeks ago.
