Sorry I posted the other day without finishing! I blame the kids 😊 I bought a crock-pot which is a 9 in one pressure cooker slow cooker thing! It was £59.99 on Amazon and so far so good. I wanted one anyway when the kitchen is done and it saves us living on takeaways. My nan paid in £2000 to my bank yesterday for my kitchen stuff. I’ve rounded off my overdrawn account to £0 and paid £100.01 off mortgage to take me to £65,999.99 so now I have £2019 left in the bank, I do have things to buy off the kitchen such as flooring and barstools and a tumble dryer then I’ll see what’s left to do something constructive with. I’m swaying towards an overpayment lol.The kitchen got delivered yesterday so I’ve just stood in there admiring a pile of boxes all day yesterday! I can’t wait for it to go in it’s gonna be beautiful 🤞🏼😁
my arm is still quite sore so I don’t think I’ll be ready for work yet. I am wanting to go back now. I don’t like all this sitting around xMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Sorry to hear about your arm. The kitchen plans are coming together and will be well worth it when finished!1

Aww thanks @family355 the arm is a lot better and I’m keen to get back to work as soon as the sick notes finished on the 19th!I had a MSE fail the other day... I took my middle child to several seamstresses to get dd1 communion dress altered to fit her and they all said no way. I then found us in a bridal shop and she chose the most expensive one out the window for £350 and I bought it 🤯 I then went home and slept all afternoon sick with anxiety at wasting so much money for a dress for an hour. Well anyway I went back to the shop with my tail between my legs yesterday and cancelled the order and got a refund. I won’t lie I cried all day and felt like a terrible failure of a mum but I just couldn’t do it either financially or morally it’s just way way too much. The kitchen is almost in it looks amazing! Better than I imagined and really really worth all the hard work and stress and money.I have to take a break now for myself to get back to health and wealth so if you hear me mention lofts or garden rooms please find out my address and come and slap me round the back of the head 😂
I bought flooring, chairs and kettle and other bits with money off my nan. There’s about £1200 left and I really need to spend it wisely. Here’s a sneaky preview of my kitchen amazingnessMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Looks great.
Search eBay, FB, gumtree etc for a suitable dress, DD will be happy and you won't spend a fortune.
Hope you have a speedy recovery.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
When I had a breakdown yesterday my auntie who is a seamstress but not very helpful said she would look at dd1 dress.. she is going to take it in under the armpits so it doesn’t hang off her as much but she’s gonna wear that! XMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Kitchen is looking great, Ftb.With regard to the dress - phew, this is going to make me sound harsh (to your daughter), but I hope it helps. First communion is important, it's a right of passage, BUT, it is a religious right of passage. It's about faith, not a fashion show. I'm sure the dress was lovely, but there are equally lovely dresses for less (my wedding dress cost £140, and I've worn it twice since as an evening gown). The 'family' dress is a wonderful link between sisters if it can be managed - so I'd sell it from that perspective rather than money saving.2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8562

Aww yeah tbf it wasn’t her fault it’s the sales pitch of the women in the shop to me and her (I am one of those people that doesn’t say no no matter how bad the consequences are for myself). They tell her she looks beautiful and she should have it and she said yeah I’ll have this one. I told her after school I had cancelled it and she wasn’t bothered in the slightest!
Roll on next week when it’s all over lol xMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

The kitchen is looking lovely. And your daughter will look lovely in anything on her special day i am sure. It is so easy to be caught up in the excitement, when looking at nice things with good sales people. Well done on doing the right thing for you and having the courage to say no to them.
