Oh no, I hope you can manage the pain and it heals quickly. As you say its a good job you got that contract in place. Life is pants sometimes (ok a lot of the time), and we just keep going because we have to, but its hard. Just remember you have us all here cheering you on and you can come on here and moan away if that's what's needed. I sure have on my diary lol. I'm so sorry to hear about the break, hopefully you'll heal quickly and things will revert to normal soon.
It's hard to see the wood through the trees, but remember that old saying about what don't kill you makes you stronger? You will come out the otherside with greater resolve.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Thanks everyone! I didn’t have the best sleep with it but I did sleep which I’m grateful for!I do hope my luck changes soon! I’m waiting for my payslip to go on hopefully tomorrow and at least I’ll be sorted money-wise for a month. My family and friends although sympathetic said It’ll make me have to slow down now cus I’m always doing something 🤦🏼♀️ We’ll see 😂Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Payslip went on last night. Was only £50 less than my own calculations so I’ll take that lol. I’m a couple of hundred pound overdrawn on my wages account though so that means I’ll count my wages as £200 less.I am hoping for another payslip to go on with my holiday pay from my bank work but it hasn’t yet. I doubt it will tbh. They’re lying scammers who get by on the goodwill of others.I’ve just emailed the ward manager and asked how long to get a sick note for. Physio advised me to use the arm as usual but I won’t be able to do manual handling or cpr for 6 weeks so I don’t know if they’ll have me back earlier on ‘light duties’ (there’s no such thing in AED) or just stay off for the 6 weeks.I haven’t calculated my finances yet as I wanna see if I do get any bank holiday pay. I am also thinking just keep the cash in my account whilst I’m off work for now as the ability to do bank shifts is gone whilst I’m off 😭Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Ouch.... I hope you heal up soon! Good to see you still have your eye on the MF goal and budgeting thoughDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks @LadyWithAPlan 😊
I actually did get the holiday pay... £289 pre-deductions and £107 post 🙄 I’m really coming to the conclusion that I’ve just got to adapt to monthly budgeting as it’s not financially viable for me to do extra work anymore. It means tomorrow I’ll have about £1500 in the bank for a few minutes then need to pay everything. Then I’ll have about £600 post bills for a month of food, electric gas and uniforms (shoes coats and bags x3) and fuel. And other bits and bobs. I won’t be saving this month or overpaying. Well I’ll be saving the £80 that goes into my help to save and isa by SO. My help to save bonus is due 1st December and should be just over £300 so that’ll cover one of the iPads 🤞🏼I’m gonna email my gp in a sec for a sick note. Going to ask for 3 weeks and hope to get back before the 6 weeks on adjusted duties. I don’t think 6 weeks off would be good for me. I’d just get anxiety again.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

At least if you are no longer doing bank work you will get time at home to enjoy the lovely new kitchen and bathroom you have created, as well as family time. No point working all the hours if paying half of it over to the tax man. If things do get really tough again, you can go back to it.
Good news on the help to save bonus arriving in time for Christmas. I am still over a year away, but looking forward to the chunk of bonus, which I am sure will come in handyMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

That’s it.. 23 hours is enough for me. I’ve tried enough working patterns over the years to know that anything more or less is just not viable and I’m in a good little work-life routine on 23 hours.Yeah I was lucky the bonus falls in December. I was skint in year one though so only put £1 a week into the account otherwise it would have been a lot more. I’ve done £10 a week since January and now I’m used to it going out. The 2 accounts will be at £1000 by xmas but I’m going to continue with £10 a week in each and just leave it until I need it for something significant as I don’t count these as my money available to use lol xMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Hello! I’ve updated my signature and made a meagre £62 op to round down to the next £100. I think I’m going to pay another £100.01 to get into the £65k, then aim to get to £64k by the end of the year.Kitchen gets delivered Friday! I’m almost ready. Just need to dig up and level a bit of the floor when oh is in the mood to do it. Hopefully tomorrow. We’ve had a day off today because I feel really sick. My arm is very sore and I’ve had nausea and a headache.I have a Drs note until the 19th September so I’m hoping to be able to go back to work after that. Get some bank shifts in too for the winter/ xmas/ bday season. My nan is putting £2000 in my bank on Friday toward the kitchen. This will majority got towards flooring and accessories and hopefully to pay a bit off the credit card etc. Our cooker has gone last night for the floor to be dig up so that’s gonna be expensive In takeaways for the next couple of weeks. I did buy loads of microwave food but it’s not nutritious whatsoever (not that takeaways are either but they’re more moist at least).Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700
