I too got this letter, nothing has changed with my personal finances or anything else I can think of, apart from my local branch closed last month, and I aren't going into town any time soon. Maybe the closing of the local branch brought up some misdemeanors?I will just transfer money out and leave 1p in if they demand I have to go in to prove I haven't changed into a Russian oligarch!

Perhaps it is just another ruse to entice me into another discussion to sell me one of their wonderful new financial services?missile said:Perhaps it is just another ruse to entice me into another discussion to sell me one of their wonderful new financial services?

You can do the ID check online. Login via the mobile app and then at the bottom you see the product icons. Swipe to the far right and select the ID Check icon. You then follow on-screen prompts.3

Many organisation need to see original documents. The days of physically posting in ID to open a bank account are long gone, of course unless there's fraud or genuine missing data available to electronically ID you. Some do it by way of credit report info checks, other do it on main bank account info provided in the application. but it's done online based on the info provided (& available)!2
