Just logged in and it says I’m not eligible even though I was eligible for it the first time???

    Currently unemployed and on UC
There is a regulation that says the self employment must be the majority of your income (or such like) do your benefits push you over that percentage so that your other income is now more than your self employed income for the qualifying period?
I have recently filed accounts with HMRC for my small business in 19/20 but I thought the grant related to 18/19

That would be impossible, as the relevant years (2016/17 to 2018/19) have not changed. Current benefits do not matter. The only reasons you might not qualify for the second grant when you qualified for the first are:
    • your business is not adversely affected by coronavirus after 13 July, but was adversely affected when you made the first claim
    • you intended to continue to trade in 2020/21 when you made the first claim, but no longer have that intention
Neither of these reasons would be picked up by the system before self certification, so anyone who successfully and legitimately claimed the first grant should not be getting a message saying they are ineligible for the second.

Put my second claim in at 4am this morning. Piece of cake as my details were all stored from the first claim. Here's the link for ref https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-a-grant-through-the-self-employment-income-support-scheme

Further to this I've had a confirmation email saying the grant will be paid within 3 days.
