Has anyone heard from HMRC regards the applying for the second grant yet?

Just wondering if anyone has received a time slot for applying for the second grant? As we did for the first? It seems we are getting very close to the opening applications date and I am sure we were contacted in advance of this date last time?

Nope.I can't remember how long before the first grant the letter from HMRC arrived through the post. The check if you can claim page itself hasn't been updated since 16 July. Considering it opens on the 17th, it should be any day now I would have thought.1

I was told that if you got the first grant, or any other grants, you are not eligible for anymore.

If you were eligible for the first grant and can confirm to HMRC that your business has been adversely affected on or after 14 July 2020, you’ll be able to make a claim for a second and final grant from 17 August 2020.
The scheme allows you to claim a second and final taxable grant worth 70% of your average monthly trading profits, paid out in a single instalment covering 3 months’ worth of profits, and capped at £6,570 in total.

Completely incorrectly. If you are that close to destitution why are you not claiming UC?LeicesterWorker said:I was told that if you got the first grant, or any other grants, you are not eligible for anymore.

I didn’t get an email, text or letter for the 1st one but checked myself online and was given the 1st opening day to apply and at 8am too still haven’t had a letter to say I was eligible to this day, so assuming I’ll have to do the same for 2md grant but as said above no updates on the gov website so far

Sorry, you're right, my brain was fuddled. I don't qualify for UC.calcotti said:
