Morning all! Thanks for the new list Natty. And I'm the same YL and roundtoit - like the idea of seeing people but always filled with anxiety in the run up to it, especially now where I'm hyper vigilant that I'm not too close to them etc.
In a 3 hour blitz on Saturday morning I managed to get everything done that was leftover from last week's list so the house is looking quite good. Doesn't mean I can stop with the Flylady'ing though
So far today I've:
- Made the beds
- WM on
- Done a 30 minute workout before it got too hot
- Had a coffee and about a million litres of water already
Hope you're all keeping cool - will pop on later to update when I've done some stuff off the list.

I have cleaned all tiles, sides and things on the sides in the kitchen, dropped the dogs off at the groomer and brought the washing in. DH was here for the boiler service. Now having lunch, but apart from picking the dogs up I just plan to relax in the garden for the rest of the day.Spend less now, work less later.11

Well i've had a flying disaster today, i always mix my washing not enough whites for its own load i could hand wash but cba. So i use colour catcher sheets, put my brand new wine coloured skirt into the wash. Can you guess yet? Pink clothes everywhere, trip to the shops to buy colour run remover and alas, it's still pink
machine not finished yet but thinking i need Ace bleach, thankfully the worst stained items are a tea towel and some socks. Zero other flying done.

Washing update, the colour run remover took the dye out of the coloured items so jean pockets are white again however it turned my Khaki t-shirt diarrhoea brown colour and made my purple t-shirt all patchy, the white stuff is still pink i'm such an idiot. The skirt in question is still leaking dye after 3 hours of soaking i've tried adding vinegar and salt no change, left it soaking in a bucket for now.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:11

Well done ASB for your drain tackling.
I feel as if I've wasted the last few days but I just don't do heat. Can't do anything involving movement!
However, I got up determined today and did a gentle 6km run in as much shaded woodland as I could manage. Mr N vacuumed all downstairs.
The rest of the day has been.......recovering. Plums from garden picked, washed and frozen. Ditto blackberries from along the track.
Had an email from music college to say drumming lessons can start again in Sept, yippee but hope the chapel will open before then so I can get in some practice.
Quite a few other cautious social events gradually being organised: meeting a friend in Kew Gardens next week; Somerset friends visiting on Sat; brother may visit tomorrow; meeting friend in Hatfield Forest on Fri followed by picnic in his garden. Mr N is considering returning to the gym, his friend has started and it's very uncrowded with new showers that you don't have to touch, just wave your hand and it comes on apparently.
Greenhouse etc watered.
Plan is to set alarm tomorrow and force myself to get up early so I can actually achieve something then I won't feel so guilty if I flake out by lunchtime.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Thank you Natty and Valli for the lists x
Good news, Iona xAnother one who does not do heat. I’m definitely a spring and autumn kinda gal. I’ve muddled through a day in the office, done a few daily type jobs (very slowly), watered the gh, picked some tomatoes, and am now flopped. As I did wipe the kitchen surfaces when I tidied up after dinner, I am counting today a flying success - by my low standards, that is. Tomorrow is a non work day, and .....drum roll.....long needed haircut day. I am dreading it, especially as I will probably lose my nerve to say that I want to stop dying it, in case I upset her. I truly am a lost cause ☹️.9 -
Evening! Apologies for my tardiness once again, but at least it's Monday. Thank you Valli and Natty for continuing to act as bastions of the Flylady tradition and keeping the straight and narrow in my sights.
I have had a busy day here, had help in today reassembling DS bed and reattaching curtain rail in LR (needed drilling...cue more dust and mess)
Reorganized my LR &.DR to make them look less cluttered. Corona supplies taken out into Room of Doom and mental inventory taken in case Boris calls full lockdown again, so kitchen and dining room only contain bare basics again and I can *shop* from the room of Doom in an emergency situation.
I have a water leak in Room of Doom currently being rescued by a princely bucket, until I can get a man in to sort it and the coinage needed to pay for it. Ho hum....anybody fancy reminding me to check the princely bucket periodically so I don't end up drowning. Lol?.
Thankfully the airing cupboard is still empty, but I have started to put stuff back until it us comfortably full. Now I need to decide what to do with the other stuff. Some stuff is clearly donatable, other stuff varies between useful and clutter. So I need to decide to what of the clutter is actually donation worthy and then see if that changes the way I feel about it and send it to a good home.
Lots of bits attended to in Kitchen today, but will post what's left tomorrow at some point.
Oh yes, cleaned DS mattress using 3lbow gre@se and the absorbent side of a puppy pad x 3. Looks a lot better..DS is camping downstairs tonight with me while mattress airs thoroughly, ready to be made up tomorrow morning.
Time for some shut eye. Nighty night, hugs stick and spoons are in the jar by the door, please help yourselves XXXThe cold never bothered me anyway9 -
Fayolle there's you worrying about upsetting the hairdresser and me fretting about meeting up with an old work colleague who I really like. Yep Round we are from the same mould.
So this morning I was up at 6.15am, did 30 minutes exercise, tidied around, bathroom swished, load of washing in, showered and ready for work, two shepherds pies made (one meat one veggie), breakfast eaten .. and it was 9am!! How did it take me that long. Anyway paid stuff done, met my friend, work finished for 8pm and kitchen worktops and cupboards cleaned, floor hoovered and mopped.
