  • No, it is from Euro Car Parks.

Hang on...you are telling us that Euro Car Parks - who almost never sue anyone in England - have actually started a Scottish claim using the Simple Procedure? Are you certain it's ECP and an actual claim, not just debt letters to that friend?

  • I am 100% certain, I have seen the documents from the court, "euro car parks vs my pal" along with a letter from yuill and Kyle outlining everything they are looking for.

  • It appears the ECP are going to try and use the Transport (Scotland) Act 2019 existing to strong arm people into paying, banking on people not recognising that it doesn't act retrospectively.

Do you mean they are going to distort the truth for financial gain?  Surely not.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Sorry I am new to this site and don’t know where to post or how to start new but people in my work have had court summons because of this too.  We were told at work we could just park in the spaces and it would be ok there is a lawyer speaking to one of my colleagues about this and they said that they can ask the court to find out who is insured on her car so how do we say we did not drive if they can see a list of names.  I listened to all advice on this website and did not respond or say anything and it has actually made things worse because now we have to pay court costs I could cry I do not have the money and this is really hurting my mental health can someone please help

See my signature, it tells you where the link is at the top of this/any page, taking you to PAGE ONE.

Click where my signature tells you to (NB: my signature is NOT a link).

Read the NEWBIES thread there at the top of page one.  And than hit 'NEW THREAD' on page one.

You do not have to pay court costs.   You do not have a SUMMONS.  PPCs cannot ask the court to find out who is insured on a car!  That lawyer is talking rubbish.

Surely this would be a matter of concern to the FCA?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • it is paperwork from the court with dates for an action, what else could it be.  I may not spend my life on forums like you or be familiar with how these things work but dont patronise me maybe if you weren't giving out bad advice to people in the first place people wouldnt be in these situations...
