I made a £25 deposit a few years ago for the next project, it ended up being a solar farm with poor returns reading between the lines I just had a very bad feeling so never went forward.

I thought the solar farm looked like great returns. As along as it's not lost

Any ideas what is happening to Derril Water?
Per the Ripple / Sarah email:
"Derril Water solar park is currently under construction. Construction is led and managed by an experienced third party contractor, they will continue to manage the project’s build on behalf of the cooperative and its members."

Will work stop if the trades aren't sure they'll be paid?!!!

This is the reason that the generation projects are set up as SPV - a separate company. If Ripple has any ownership, it will be an asset that the administrators can sell.

The comments of Ripple co-op members in various forums is one reason we are where we are.  Often nit picking, but incessant, criticism has put new investors off.

I never understood why Ripple had to be different from a regular company in which you bought shares (which could go up or down in value) and which paid a cash dividend rather than money off your electricity bill.  Should I conclude that Ripple's alternative business model didn't work?  Or was it just bad management?

It's a bit early for a post mortem :D but I'd imagine there were a combination of factors that limited the appeal.
