I'm finding this discussion hard to follow.  I had thought the the co-operatives were comprised of the people and institutions who had subscribed and Ripple was the managing entity.  So with Ripple gone the co-operatives may survive but with nobody in charge?  Or did the co-ops have their own management bodies; if so, do we know who the people involved are?

my understanding of the setup, is that the coops are seperate legal entities, but ripple was the mgmt company which was responsible for the strategic tasks, ie negotiating payment rates, engaging with energy suppliers to bring them on board etc etc.

It does leave a bit of a vacuum which no doubt will be filled at some point, its just a question of when and what impact loosing ripple has, ideally we would want a new mgmt company to take over and manage all the previous roles which ripple did across the board, if we end up with disparate mgmt companies for each coop, thats going to increase costs etc, and god knows what other impact it will have.

All we can do is wait and see.

Regarding projects which have not been fully commissioned, its unclear what shape/format the future holds.

I’ve input into Whitelaw Brae. I suspect that the cash was just sat within Ripple as the Coop wouldn’t have formally begun giving barely any progress has been made and as such, the money is gone!!
This is a real shame and they would have known they had cash flow issues but continued to take payments from us.

I'm the same, but hoping the funds are ring-fenced for investment. Well, gotta stay optimistic!

I can't help with Derril Water (sorry) but there was an email from the Kirk Hill co-op team yesterday giving an update on the progress with the accounts and with replacing Ripple. It all sounded positive.
Have there ben any similar comms from the Derril Water team?
The Derril Water development originally belonged to RES, and I see from their (minimal) website that RES continued to have an agreement "to manage the construction and operation of the project."
Maybe drop RES a line, if you've not heard anything from anyone else?

Those who bought into Whitelaw Brae will want to take a look at https://blog.whitelawbrae.org.uk/
No answers about the money, but  they are working to get the co-op 4 board to call a general meeting. Hopefully they can get some answers including some about where the money for co-op 4 ended up.
