Today's email from Kirk Hill contain the following:
    Kirk Hill in the news!
Whilst not named specifically, we made national news when the President of the United States declared “what a shame!” as he reached the tee of the 18th at Turnberry (having cheated his way around the course) and saw Kirk Hill turbines turning in the distance.
Whilst we don't necessarily recommend reliving those comments, Swedish developer Vattenfall, which has both onshore and offshore wind developments in the UK, has released this short film giving a slightly different perspective from another particularly well-known US citizen.  Enjoy! A taste of fossil freedom.
I hadn't realised that it was Kirk Hill in that clip, and enjoyed the video :)
    N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.
    2.72kWp PV facing SSW installed Jan 2012. 11 x 247w panels, 3.6kw inverter. 34 MWh generated, long-term average 2.6 Os.
Not exactly back from my break, but dipping in and out of the forum.
Ofgem cap table, Ofgem cap explainer. Economy 7 cap explainer. Gas vs E7 vs peak elec heating costs, Best kettle!

Yes, I spotted it too, it gave me a huge sense of satisfaction knowing that we owned a very small part of what had obviously pee'd Rumpy off so much.  :D

I believe he has two Golf courses in Scotland, I wonder if there might be a wind farm in the planning stages anywhere near the second one!

The Aberdeen ones are already there. They're offshore.

It is a great shame that the co-op board members who have been working unpaid to salvage the Ripple investments weren't consulted.
With the exception of project 4 (Whitelaw Bray) all projects have active boards working hard to find solutions to paying members.  2 projects are generating profits and project 3 nears it's switch on.  Whitelaw Bay co-op board is trying to recoup money although I for one have claimed via chargeback.
    4.7kwp PV split equally N and S 20° 2016.

Vaillant aroTHERM plus 5kW ASHP (2025)
    Gas supply capped (2025)

Was Co-op 4 really promoted as "pay £2000, get £350-£500 pa back" as that article suggests one of the members expected? That's way more of a return than Kirk Hill was advertised at (or has ever earned).

Kirk Hill emailed today to inform us of a General Meeting in three weeks time. Hope to learn more about how things are going.
