Like I’m mentioned, I’m totally new to this forum, and I’m really worried about what will happen. I’m in no position to afford court/solicitor fees. But there won't be any...if you were in the 1% who lose here, you'd pay LESS than the claim!
And if you are Sussex based, I will speak for you if you wish, to present your case, as long as you follow our advice and do everything properly as we tell you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi...this is the reply off DCB Legal...
Thank you for your recent email dated 5th August 2020. We note that you queried the £60.00 recovery fees that have been added to the balance.
In accordance with the British Parking Association (BPA) Code of Practice, where the Parking Charge Notice (PCN) becomes overdue and before Court proceedings have commenced, a reasonable sum may be added for the debt recovery fees. The correct recovery fees have been added and will not be removed. As such, the outstanding balance of £160.00 remains payable to prevent further action.
Please contact our office on 0203 434 0424 to make payment. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. Alternatively, payment can be made by bank transfer using the below details...
Now what?? Help!

Who cares what the BPA's CoP says on the matter.
The important stuff is the law says they cannot add that amount - or any amount.
You need to read some of those Abuse of Process links that @beamerguy posted earlier.
You are following the advice given, aren't you?3 -

Crazy - only opportunity, maybe? Why so precipitate? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

beamerguy said:It's just another DCBL claim which is flawed from the start because they have added a fake £60 and the courts call it ABUSE OF PROCESS. DCBL are on a loser as usual.

You must reply to their LBA denying any debt and asking on what legal authority they have to add £60. They don't and if they reply the answer will be perfect for the court
Where did you get the parking ticket ? It's not a fine by the way
PS: NO FORM FILLING, NOT REQUIRED0 -
No - don't read really old threads.
Just do what the NEWBIES thread says.
That thread is up to date and doesn't push ill-judged screaming about 'abuse of process' which some posters didn't understand and thought was something new/ a magic bullet.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
