Hi, I’m new to this forum, but in desperate need of advice. A year ago (July 2019), I received a parking fine from One Parking Solution. I ignored it for two reasons 1)I had heard and read many things about this private parking company 2)It wasn’t actually me driving my car, I was being picked up from a night out by my partner (who is insured on my car!) who parked up, ran in to find me, then we left. (10 mins max).
I have since received various letters from different companies, demanding different amounts of money (QDR Solicitors - £182, ZZPS - £170) etc. I have ignored them all.
However, my most recent letter is a letter from DCB Legal, and it’s a ‘Letter of Claim‘ for £160. It reads ‘We expect you to pay the debt in full....failure to do so will result in a claim being issued against you’
Has anybody else had this? Do I continue to ignore? Have they been known to take people to court?
Many Thanks

You now need to be reading the second post of the NEWBIES thread.2 -
Yes, it gave 30 days, and included an ‘Information sheet’ with the numbers of different’advice’ helplines.0
-
Then treat it as a legitimate and real LBC and do what the second post of the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum tells you to do , which is the same as everyone else who came here with one
Yes you can expect a court claim1 -
There is a slip on the bottom for me to fill in to request a copy of a ‘Reply Form’ and ‘Financial Statement’0

It's just another DCBL claim which is flawed from the start because they have added a fake £60 and the courts call it ABUSE OF PROCESS. DCBL are on a loser as usual.

UPDATE REGARDING DCBL (Direct Collection Bailiffs)
If you have received a letter from these people, please carefully
read this thread

You must reply to their LBA denying any debt and asking on what legal authority they have to add £60. They don't and if they reply the answer will be perfect for the court
Where did you get the parking ticket ? It's not a fine by the way
PS: NO FORM FILLING, NOT REQUIRED2 -
This is helpful, thanks! So when you say denying any debt...Write to them, and ask them on what legal authority do they have to add £60?I got it in a little local car park, that is now not even owned by One Parking Solution Ltd because there has been such an uproar locally. Some people paid, some people didn’t. I listened to those who didn’t. It was 12.30am, the car park was empty, and as I mentioned, it was 10mins max.1

They have no legal authority to add £60 and this is why the courts strike out cases2 -
