  • Looks like it would be about 6 months, atrixa, so not too long. Would probably coincide with mini starting school though  :#

Thanks Skinty :) mini keeps getting into bed with us so will be nice not to have her knee up my bum all night  :D

Just sent £400 to the savings account! So that’s 1/3 of my save £1200 in Feb goal achieved.

It’s from our tax credits which have gone up for a couple of months because of how the system works, but will go back down in April.
  • How very flattering, maybe you could make the hours work for you with Flexi. Less one week, slightly more the next.

Bumper amount to savings, you're doing well.

Just popped to the bank to pay in £40 from selling stuff on FB marketplace, so that's £440/1200 in the savings. I've started another bank switch as well so hopefully will get a bonus from that in a few weeks.

Riotdude is doing a little food shop at Aldi and then hopefully we shouldn't need to spend any money til the weekend.

    Happy Valentines everyone

Withdrew £52 from prolific and put it in savings so that's £492/£1200 for Feb :)

Busy busy weekend! Got an alert from rightmove on Friday about a house that is right in the area we want to be, a little bit under our budget and pretty much perfect for us. We weren't planning on properly looking until the summer but it's the best one I've seen come up in ages so we went to view it and loved it. riotdude went back for a second viewing yesterday with my parents to get their seal of approval while I took mini to soft play, and now I'm waiting on a call back from the estate agent to put an offer in! Not very confident as apparently there are three other offers in already (it all moves so fast!) but we will see.
  • Good luck with your offer @riotlady 🤞 Do you have anything to sell? If not, make it clear when you put your offer in & emphasise if you can be flexible on moving dates and it may put you in a better position

  • Good luck, don't ever wait for the EA to call, just ring them with your offer.
