Even though its booked through Parcelforce the driver maybe in plain white van.

You could ask for ID & the driver may not have any paperwork, although he will scan the parcel into the system which will have your consignment number on (same as the tracking number without the PF & 001)

So, the checks I will need to do before handing out my parcel to the driver:

1 - check his ID if only he came in a white Van? or the ID should be provided at all times even if he came in a parcel force van so that to identify the person who collected it?

2 - if he doesn't have any paperwork then it will be fine if he has the handheld scanner?

A little implausible that you would get a fake parcel collection unless you run a business from which parcels are collected on a regular basis in bulk.

What ID should the driver ask YOU for?

Should he open your package to check that you have not in fact handed him a bomb or a nicely boxed portion of Poo??

Can anyone help with some info I want to use the paypal parcelforce service for an item thats 5kg. I am sure when I looked it was £10.99. Does this mean I have to print labels at home? Can I still take it to the parcel force depot rather than wait for collection?

Print out the labels attatch to parcel, then either get it collected, take to the Post Office or Parceforce depot :j

I know i may have been stupid this time

Yesterday the driver came and collected my item without any problems. He didn't have a scanner. But it may have been scanned in the van. It was tracked after 20 mins of collection.

However, today he came again to collect another parcel. and then he asked me a question I didn't expect him to ask "WHAT ARE YOU SENDING"?

This question annoyed me and I didn't know what to answer him and I thought it would be a bit rude if i told him "None of your business".

So I did tell him that i'm sending a "stuffed animal". Now its been over an hour the item has been collected but not tracked. Not like yesterday.

I've started to panic wondering whats gonna happen to my item now

however be aware some po's wont accept large items

Ordered with Couriers Direct and received confirmation that pick would be from 0900-1800 today.Waited in all day and had no collection.
I have asked them not to rebook with that payment and will decide over the weekend if I a want to purchase again with them.
Will see how quick they refund now.
Surprised as their feedback is very good.But isn't that what happened to some other third party agents selling the same service
