Have you not signed the declaration form? I thought this has to be done at the start of applicationtoby993_2 said:I haven't had to sign anything yet. Was this a form sent by post from Leeds that you had to sign and return?
Apologies Ive just gone back through and yes I have signed and sent this. Is there anyone on here that has been asked for further documentation on 2 occasions now? I think its ridiculous that they can put you right to the back of the queue just for potentially 1 outstanding bank statement/ ID etc

I can't speak from experience but my broker said "each time they ask for information they put you at the back of the underwriting queue" so I am assuming it can be more than once. They have only asked me 2 questions, about if our jobs are at risk of redundancy and is our deposit gifted.toby993_2 said:Natztastic2 said:

As we sent off our application mid-August our bank statements etc will be 2 months out of date, so I am fully expecting them to ask for updated ones and our payslips (both of of which have been sent to our broker already) so we will see how it goes :-/LBS 95% LTV Shared ownership application3/8 DIP agreed

Hmm you would think they would let you off as its their fault the application has taken so long!We was suppose to exchange on monday, so that ship has sailed haha. The sellers of the house we are purchasing are buying a new build and the builders (david wilson Homes) are being very pushy and chasing us daily for an update on our mortgage progress. So i am really hoping we dont get another set back0

Yes I agree, it would be good if there was some kind of order or rhyme/rhythm as to which applications they do first but i think its all a lottery. My date has also well and truly passed, we were told we should have moved in by now lol.toby993_2 said:Hmm you would think they would let you off as its their fault the application has taken so long!We was suppose to exchange on monday, so that ship has sailed haha. yes ours it’s our brokers portal and we are buying a shared ownership property. Funny how some please seem to have underwriting down before valuation and some after 🤔 we have applied for a mortgage before with NatWest and it was so much simpler than Leeds. Leeds seem confusing and slow tbh.0

Apparently they are exceptionally "picky" too with the underwriting. It is their known trait 😆

Our application was submitted on the 22nd September, we are on working day 11 today. Shall we expect to hear anything this week?22/09 - application submitted with Leeds BS, long story short, on the 9/11 we've been told that Leeds is reducing the amount they're willing to lend by nearly £20k (turns out our broker FORGOT to declare our child on the application)
10/11 - found another mortgage advisor
11/11 - AIP with Santander (single applicant, shared ownership, 85LTV)
12/11 - all documents sent
13/11 - application with Santander submitted and passed to underwriting. Valuation booked for 23/11
19/11 - mortgage agreed, subject to a satisfactory valuation
23/11 - mortgage offer issued
19/12 - completed0 -
I think realistic expectation is no, however you might get lucky as I don't think there's actually an algorithm to what they do. Do you know when your valuation is?Monik2510a said:Our application was submitted on the 22nd September, we are on working day 11 today. We don't know. I have medsaged our MA last week and he said as soon as he knows anything he will let us know. I always chase people for answers, shall I ask him or just wait? I don't know how you haven't gone insane yet with all the waiting 😂Natztastic2 said:
