Any Recent Leeds Building Society applicants?

We received a letter today to say LBS have carried out the initial assessment and they are leasing with the MA to get an offer produced ASAP.

The letter is very open and positive, it doesn't mention that it could be declined or anything such as "to determine if we can offer your a mortgage" or "to check eligibility for our product" 

Bizarre! But positive... Nice to have an update 😀

Did you MA tell you know once the initial assessment  was complete or did you receive the letter first ?

Have you signed mortgage declaration? Is so how long ago was it please? I’d like a rough timescale as only 1 person out of all on this thread has put their full timescale on and that was in August

No the MA didn't tell me, I got the letter first. There are still quite a few stages to go through yet, but nice to know that LBS have got the application and it's in progress on paper.

We signed the mortgage declaration on the day we applied on the 19th August. I thought it was part of the application process.

We signed the mortgage declaration on the day we applied on the 19th August. I thought it was part of the application process.

Iv been asked today. I applied last Tuesday. Hope broker isn’t waisting my time again!
 I’m already having dreams every night and Iv never known the feeling of depression 😬

Leeds building society timeline (so far) 95% LTV shared ownership mortgage

3/8 DIP agreed
5/8 Applied for plot
13/8 Accepted for plot
19/8 Full application with Leeds
23/9 Valuation completed and OK
25/9 First questions and soft credit search
29/9 Confirmed answers to LBS direct as my MA couldn't get through 😏 were told it would join 12 day underwriting queue again
01/10 Received letter about initial search through the post dated 25/9.

Now just waiting... tomorrow is 32 working days - 6.5 weeks from application.

I wouldn't count on it, I am reallllly hoping next week but it might be the week after. If so let's hope there's no more questions and that they agree and give us a YES 😊
