That is very dispiriting. Just what I fear - that they would stretch the timeline for every stage of the process. We are bound to them only because we haven't met the 2-year fixed period and are trying to avoid the Early Repayment Charges. However, it looks more and more like we have to weight up between getting a mortgage offer in a shorter time frame and dealing with them which could go on for months. It is so frustrating. In our current mortgage agreement, they provided an email address to which we sent an email a month ago without a single response and when I called up today, they told us they do not work via emails, so we would need to be put at the back of the queue with at least 9-day waiting time before we can speak with anyone.robynjur1108 said:We applied on the 21st of July still no correspondence. It's getting very frustrating now. Our mortgage advisor thinks we will hear more either today or tomorrow. But based on these forums and other people's experience I am not holding out much hope.0 -
I think it's the same across all lenders at the moment. Our MA said she has 7 couples in the same position as us.1

Just a quick update. M.A text to say that offer has been issued and should be with us in the post next few days.“Oh, so you think darkness is your ally? But you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man, by then to me it was only blinding. The shadows betray you because they belong to me.”1

Hi all I applied last Thursday through a broker, looks like I'm in for a long wait! Does anyone know what credit agency's they use to do there hard search? I've checked equifax and transunion and no hard search has been recorded yet.0
