  • Any progress for anyone that commented on this forum? We still have had no news.
  • Hey!

Our application is 80% LTV and it went in on 17/07. We haven’t heard a dicky bird yet but MA phoned to chase Monday and was told it would be looked at on Wednesday or Thursday. I’m not holding out hope for anything this week I think they are so behind!
  • It's an awful wait. I feel especially bad on the seller waiting this long.

At the moment the delays are long accross the board. I have been broking for 14 years and this is the worse I have ever known it for waiting times. The government deciding to incentivise the house market is great however the lenders were already badly delayed and it is now horrendous. I am just telling clients it will be about 2-3 weeks before we hear anything and we cannot escalate, currenty it is what it is and we have no choice but to wait it out but I will update them when I hear some news.

I did wonder what impact the stamp duty holiday would have!  I know lenders are very nervous right now and, at a guess, there’s only so much that can be done from home.  And, of course, the more you chase the more people have to spend time on the phone and less time on actual applications.
  • Platform have today instructed valuation and asked for further paperwork to support my Husbands self employed income (business bank statement for one month and an explanation of the impact of COVID on the business and the recovery).

We had our valuation done on Tuesday. The asseror informed us that he sent the report the very same day. After several calls chasing up our M.A, who chased platform, we have now been told that we are in a que and the valuation documents will not be looked at until next Thursday. Clowns

    Hi all,
We are about to start dealing with Platform. Very frustrating that you have to wait 9 days just to have a first conversation. We are their existing customers looking to port our mortgage. Do you know if it comes the stage of application (as we need to borrow more), everything is to be done by post or scan and upload? It feels like they are so old-fashioned that every single stage is going to take weeks...
    Any updates/advice is much appreciated!
  • We applied on the 21st of July still no correspondence. It's getting very frustrating now. Our mortgage advisor thinks we will hear more either today or tomorrow. But based on these forums and other people's experience I am not holding out much hope.
