Quick intro:
My story is as most I would imagine, got trapped in a cycle and now in a DMP.
I have sent 2 complaints so far and will gladly keep you all updated. Below is a response from P2P (with replies). Please advise should I need to adjust my standing towards them.
1) What is the funding date of the loan(s) for which you are complaining?
I am complaining about the checks that led to! your lending to me, this would apply to any loan which I took from you and therefore the data is already available to you.
2) What was your income per paycheque at the time of your loan(s)?
This varied, but will be provided should the FOS be informed. However, IS this something you would already know from the application? (As a responsible lender....)
3) What were your monthly expenses as of the time of your loan(s)?
(please include mortgage/rent, travel, utilities, payments of other credit commitments, food, and other expenses as separate items)
See answer to question #2.
4) Recently, we have seen an increased number of complaints where the complainant has obtained a template from a website or blog. Did you use a website template? If so, can you please provide the name of the website?
I feel that this is entirely irrelevant to my complaint.
5) Did you tell us that you were experiencing financial hardship? If so, when did you tell us of your financial difficulty?
No.
6) Please provide a copy of a bank statement from the time of your loan(s).
These can be obtained if necessary and provided to the FOS should the complaint be referred. A responsible lender would already have this information.
7) Please provide a copy of a payslip from roughly the time of your loan(s).
Please understand that this only furthers my claim as you clearly have no idea about my financial standing at the time of application. Again, I will provide this to the FOS should your decision be to decline my request.
Don't these questions directly contradict what they're trying to fight against?
Baffled....0 -
What a Brilliant post kash645, agree with you totally. Keep going onwards and upwards, together we can change the way the PDL operate, and get recompense for fellow posters.0

Hi lewsl, I agree, the PDL are on the back foot and deliberately trying to put off people from claiming. As you say they should have most of the information already, this proves my point that PDL did NOT complete credit checks and paid out loans and encouraged loans willy nilly.:cool:0

Update….
Received a letter from Satsuma loans today, rejecting my complaint as all of their policies were followed and checks were made at the credit bureau. This was my smallest loan, borrowed £200 i think, with around £200 paid in interest, so not the end of the world, but still going to take it up with FOS! Should i wait to hear back from the others PDL companies i've complained to or submit each one as they come back?0 -
louised1989 just escalate your complaint to the FOS after the Final response. The PDL has 8 weeks to respond.0

Hello
I am in the same boat as many others, I had 32 loans from QuickQuid in the last 3 years, basically one every month. I sent my complaint email yesterday and today received the following:
Thank you for contacting QuickQuid. The contents of your email were duly noted. We apologise if there was any delay in responding to your complaint.
Your query raised several questions on loan affordability. In order to better assist you, we ask that you fill out the below information so that we can thoroughly review and respond to your complaint.
Questionnaire
1) What is the funding date of the loan(s) for which you are complaining?
2) What was your income per paycheque at the time of your loan(s)?
3) What were your monthly expenses as of the time of your loan(s)?
(please include mortgage/rent, travel, utilities, payments of other credit commitments, food, and other expenses as separate items)
4) Recently, we have seen an increased number of complaints where the complainant has obtained a template from a website or blog. Did you use a website template? If so, can you please provide the name of the website?
5) Did you tell us that you were experiencing financial hardship? If so, when did you tell us of your financial difficulty?
6) Please provide a copy of a bank statement from the time of your loan(s).
7) Please provide a copy of a payslip from roughly the time of your loan(s).
This seems like the new template QuickQuid are using to respond to these types of complaints now, my question is do I have to provide all of the above or can I continue my complaint without?0 -

If you don't, they may not be willing, or able, to investigate your complaint any further.
It seems due to the high proportion of complaints payday lenders are now receiving, QQ are changing the way they deal with such matters.
There not asking for that much to be honest, basically they want your income/expenditure, payslip and bank statement, what template letter you used is irrelevant, and so is the fact you didn't tell them you were experiencing financial difficulty, just using a PDL is evidence enough of that !!
They have statements of your loan accounts, so just say all of them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
