Hi Workingtowardsdebt, PDL will try and pay out less anyway, it is what are you happy with that matters. If you just want defaults removing then I think you have a strong chance but I still think the lenders may offer you compensation also, if you were successful.:cool:0

Hi Debtwoes, Just a delaying tactic, explain it is not a SAR request but a Statement of Accounts you are requesting:cool:.0

WDA took a week to get back to my statement request and are asking for £10 for a SAR :-(
They asked the same from me. I ended up ignoring them and getting loan details from my online account and also bank statements.LBM March 2013 DFD August 2016

As stated on here before if the PDL does not give you what you request in a reasonable timescale the FOS will grant extra compensation for distress.0

People who have submitted to FO...what was the time scale of communication from them?0

All 3 of my complaints were acknowledged within the week0

PDL are now asking some customers what website they are getting templates and information on complaining. Are they getting worried??????????????????0

Final response from qq received today rejecting my complaint. They have offered me £150 as a gesture of goodwill which I have declined. Complaint logged with FO today. So that's 4 complaints I have with FO now. Wonga was the only PDL company to settle.
Lending stream, QQ, 247moneybox all rejected complaint and PDUK have yet to respond.0 -
Hi everyone,
A great thread and brilliant to read so many successes from people on here against Payday loan companies.
Like many others, I also got myself into a mess with Payday loans around 6 years ago. My hours were reduced at work and I really struggled. I made the stupid mistake of borrowing from Wonga and then I fell into the Payday loan trap with other companies. All completely my own fault.
I entered into a DMP which was one of my better decisions. Having read all of the publicity last year about Payday loan companies, I decided to challenge some of their practices-taking money out of my account without consent, rolling over loans etc.
Wonga admitted irresponsible practice and wrote my debt off( I had repaid some through my DMP). PDUK/MEM Consumer Finance agreed to write the debt off and refunded me which was a great result. I had repaid loans with this company before but then stupidly borrowed money again. They had emptied my bank account without my consent even after I withdrew CPA. I also challenged the Payday loan company CFO and they reduced my debt from £1200 to £500.
I still intend to challenge some of the other companies with whom I had loans. It's very heartening to read all of the positive outcomes on this thread. For those who come on here to moralise about getting into debt etc, I only hope that you never find yourself in debt and experience the misery that comes with it. You shouldn't be so quick to judge! Anyone can find themselves in debt because situations sometimes which are beyond our control can happen. It's great to read about so many people facing up to debt with a positive attitude and with the help of so many others.
Keep up the good work:j0 -
Hi
You should go on debtcamel website and have a read. You have fair grounds to challenge the pdl companies and have a good chance of getting remaining balances completely wiped and hopefully a refund of interest.
Good luck0
