I received £1100 back from Sunny. They were pretty quick to pay out too.

Without it they would have just stuck to their usual stock response 'we take responsible lending seriously... blah blah blah'.... if you take it seriously you wouldn't be issuing loans to people with defaults, high debt levels, outstanding PDLs, etc?


They don't seem to have much comeback when you put it like that to them.


Wonga initially claimed they had completed credit checks... when I sent them my credit report I asked if they should have lent to someone with my credit history. The next email said 'we could have done more, we are refunding all interest charged plus 8% pa.' They know they've done wrong they are just trying the worm their way out of it.


I think threads like this will be frightening the hell out the PD Lenders. I would guess that the vast majority of people taking out these loans couldn't really afford it, and most will win their complaint if they take it to the FOS. Sadly the ambulance chasing solicitors will want their cut too, so expect the non-stop PPI style unsolicited calls about unfair PD lenders to start shortly.


When this thread was initially raised their were some very cruel messages from holier than thou folk, gladly I've not seen one like that for a while. This thing will gather momentum and I can't wait to see these horrible businesses go under. Hopefully it puts a few of their senior managers under the stress that we have had to deal with for years because of their trappy industry.

I have just been through my bank statements. Half way through my pdl stage I went into a dmp. During this time I then went and got more loans with wonga and QQ yet they say they checked my 'affordability' and ran a credit check. What a joke!

It is laughable for PDL to say they completed affordability and credit checks. This is their response all the time and it is in nearly all cases a load of Bull___t , This has been my point from day 1, PDL lent money to anybody willy nilly at the touch of a button on line time after time. So I have just completed the laborious task of organising all my bank statements in an excel spreadsheet. I then sorted all the loans out in different tabs. There were some lenders that I did not think of pursuing because I thought the loan amount was so little, but looking at them I am definitely sending off more emails!! I have paid just over £11K to wonga alone!!!! Bloody hell! That is what I paid!!! I could have had a deposit for a house for that!!!

Hi excited_to_be-Free, Can be a bit of a shock when you have all the evidence in front of you, it soon adds up. This is why PDL are here its massive profit for small risk, Millions of pounds to be made on the back of hard working Joe Public.

I had pduk, and in addition, my wife got payday express at the same/close time frame with pduk ongoing in my name.

Surely they must have not done their basic credit checks as we are financially linked!

In addition, who's account with the PDUK group has 'details not recognised' as the normal login details don't work anymore.

Strange after asking for statement of account...........oh well

I cannot log in to PDUK either after logging a complaint..

Then again it's no problem.. A company blocking me access to previous loan history is a sure fire thing for the FOS to take into account.
