    hi, I have had numerous pay day loans over several years. I have put in the complaints email to them all. some are asking for copies of bank statements. should I send them as for some of these companies that will be over a 3 year period. if I go straight to the ombudsman will I need to send bank statements to them also.

    Your complaint won't progress if you don't do as they ask.

    You can't go straight to the ombudsman unless the company has issued its final response.

    Which it won't do if you don't send your bank statements in.

    I have received £1985 back from Mr Lender, i paid just over £3100 in interest.

    I could have probably gotten the full amount back but i needed the money and i also have to take some responsibility so happy with that. Offer was made yesterday and money arrived in bank today.

    Complaint was handled very well, they have responded and resolved this in about 2 weeks which is impressive considering others haven't even responded since first email that i sent at the same time.

    On another note, has anyone actually ever received an SOA from Wonga? I asked it June when I made my complaint and nothing - Then Ive been asking since September but again nothing.

    They just acknowledge receipt of the email and never send it! I think they are trying to make it difficult but I've gone back and worked it out from my bank statements, but I want the actually SOA to double check it's right an I haven't missed anything.

    seems to be a bit of a theme with QQ... (as if we didn't already notice haha)

    rejected adjudicators decision of upholding all loans (decline initial complaint, but offered £200, have made me an offer via ombudsman I rejected of just short of £2k, then tried to add £150 as a gesture of goodwill... also rejected), so waiting for an ombudsman to be assigned then wait for that process to take place.

    Be glad when this is all over! Keep going all!

    A few months ago I received an email from CFO informing me I was one of the people who was due a payment from their redress scheme. However as they were due to contact everyone by March I thought the payments for all would be some time after March. Knowing about the 8 week final response rule (from reading this thread) I decided it would be better to make a complaint and hopefully receive my payment sooner.

    While I am happy with the sum they have offered me it does seem to me that had I not made the complaint I would be receiving less than £100.00

    CFO say the only area that had been identified by the independent third party deciding who was due a redress (Grant Thornton LLP) was the rollover interest calculation (unfair practice). They call it an error. However my complaint was that the loans themselves were unaffordable and it is the interest and charges arising from those loans that make up the offer from CFO.

    The redress amount of less than £100 will be paid in due course regardless of my acceptance of the offer from CFO. I hope I have got this wrong as if not there are going to be many thousands of disappointment people when they see how much they will receive. As I believe without making a complaint they probably won't receive very much at all.

    I suggest better safe than sorry. Make a complaint.

    I have extracted the following from the final response email I received from CFO yesterday.
    We will do the following as full and final settlement of your complaint and any future claims:

    Agreement ******** – We will refund you £**.**;
    Agreement ******** – We will refund you £***.**;
    Agreement ******** – We will refund you £***.**;
    Agreement ******** – We will refund you £***.**;
    Agreement ******** – We will refund you £***.**;
    Agreement ******** – We will refund you £***.**;
    Agreement ******** – We will refund you £***.**;
    Agreement ******** – We will refund you £***.**;

    I consider this to be fair and reasonable because:

    Blah blah blah

    1. Total interest and charges due as complaint proceeds: £****.**.

    In addition to this we have been working alongside the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to conduct a review and redress scheme for all our customers. This was overseen by an independent third party, Grant Thornton UK LLP. Your account was identified to fall under the redress areas of:

    Rolled interest.

    We’re sorry this error occurred in the first place and I can assure you processes have been put into place to prevent this from happening again. As a result, the FCA told us to do the following to rectify your account:

    Refund you £**.**

    Redress Due in total: £**.** – This will be paid in due course as per our agreement with the FCA. Total amount payable less redress: £****.**.

    We will add 8% interest to £****.** to the date of payment. We will deduct tax from the 8% statutory interest applied at the basic rate of 20% as it is our understanding that we are required by HMRC to do this. Blah blah blah

    Hi All,

    I put in a complaint to Wonga 7 days ago but yet to receive a response, but surprise surprise I have suddenly started receiving letters and email from a company called BPO (which I believe is a part of Wonga) chasing for an outstanding £283.40. I have responded to them to advise that the account is being disputed.

    Long story short, between September 2010 and September 2014 I took out 33 separate loans totalling around £9,000 and paid back a total of just over £14,000 missing payment on the final payment of which they have no started chasing after 2 and abit years. My claim is for a total of £5200 to be refunded plus 8% interest.

    I've issued them the complaint letter (template from Debt Camel) on the 20th however they are yet to confirm receipt of this at all, what should be my next step?

    Does anyone know the average response time from Wonga at all? Do these usually go the full 8 weeks and to the ombudsmen route? Not that i'm in a rush, just curious.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello everyone just a quick question I had quite a large amount of payday loans over the years and got into difficulties as others have ended up rolling over every month till I just couldn't do it anymore but that was a good few years ago now and I have finally got myself in a good place at last sorting my financial life out it's taken years but I'm nearly there. Anyway my question is I know I have loads of loans with a number of different providers but none are showing at all on any of my credit reports expect for 1 small one from Myjar which should never have gone on in the first place they added it last year from 2012. Anyway I have been issued a adjuactor as Myjar have refused a refund as expected and they are asking for 3 months banks statements from then which the account is closed so that will be fun but they also want a copy of my credit report yet there is nothing really negative on there payday loan wise which is so strange, So how would I go about finding out about all the other loans and defaults I must have had ? I don't want to cause myself problems by digging up stuff and then them hounding me for money etc Is there a certain amount of time you can go back for instance to claim ? Thanks everyone

    Good evening all!

    A little update about where I am currently.
    My Lending Stream complaint is with the Ombudsman - they have issued their provisional response which i was very pleased with. I am now awaiting the final response. I hope it amount does not change as currently I may be looking at getting over £7K back.
    Payday UK has been a very long process with regards to loans over 6 years. This was eventually agreed by them to be investigated. Adjudicator has now upheld complaint from as far back as 2008, this could potentially be a 5 figure sum, so fingers crossed.
