  • Ive accepted Mr Lenders offer of a reduced balance as this will halve my balance owed and i will only be paying back what i lent at the time. I think this is very fair and ive had a final decision in less than 48 hours which is impressive considering some of the stories ive read about trying to claim money back from PDL companys!!

Just hope the rest are like this.... very much doubt it though lol Payday UK already started playing hardball!

  • well done leighavfc, every little helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Well done on the Wonga payout, i am going to have a shot in the dark at Micro credit (Speed Credit was the company i used) .Should i do a routine initial complaint aimed at them even knowing they won't respond? I assume i still have to go through the 8 week dance and can't go straight to the FOS despite liquidation.
  • Pretty much, yes. I have one ongoing with Toothfairy Finance also who are in the same boat as Microcredit. But with that one I sent it straight to the FOS who then contact the business/liquidators/whoever is responsible. But the FOS still has to wait the 8 weeks for them to respond too before they look into it. I complained directly to Microcredit and had nothing after 8 weeks so then referred it to the FOS. So the sooner you put the email in the sooner you are to getting a potential answer.

    Hi all
Long time no speak! Seems Sunny are playing dirty. I had an email and a letter from Motormile yesterday reminding me I owed £501 and asking when I was going to pay!! I rang them and said the twelfth of never as Sunny had written the loan off!! It seems Sunny haven't bothered telling them despite the fact they have wiped the loan from my credit file. I also told them that it's somewhere in the Ombudsmans complaint queue so as far as I'm concerned if they've got a problem they should take it up with Sunny. I sent them the email proving that Sunny had written it off, hopefully I'll hear no more.
Email from the adjudicator for Express- seems they haven't replied (surprise surprise) so it's in the queue now for an Ombudsman.

  • I have had a reply from WDA I am due a refund of £2019. Do you pay tax on this figure?
  • Yes you pay tax Coxy77, it should be deducted at source.
  • You only pay tax on the additional 8% interest, not the initial refund amount. This will be taken at source.
  • Had another good result today our of Peachy.... Basically dismissed my claims but "As a goodwill gesture" reduced my current balance from £456.25 to £26.25 !!!!!
