• Hi, I'm currently going after Money Shop, any one had dealings with them or Dollar who own them? I know they're one of the bigger companies.
I've complained that i took out and repaid continuously for years but they only provided 12 months of statement to my SAR request(Had 9 loans repaid/borrowed same day and a roll over out of the 12).
They stated that they don't legally have to provide documentaion for previous years as those loans were repaid. Is that correct?.
They have written after 4 weeks to say they still haven't concluded their investigations yet so not sure if that's good or not, not a flat out rejection i guess.I'm more than prepared to go to FOS if needs be.

After seeing decent success now with Wonga i'm considering complaining. They voluntarily wrote off a balance of around £900 after their publicised redress scheme but like Moneyshop had 5 or 6 years of using them virtually every month (repay and borrow same day)when struggling , can i still further claim claim for what would surely be £3-4k despite them voluntarily writing off the balance of £900?.

If you are awaiting payment from Quickquid / Pounds to pocket try this email address:
foscomplaints@enova.com

It is the UK owner of QQ and P2P and they got everything moving.

Has anyone had any joy using this email address?

My adjudicator ruled in my favour a few weeks back and gave qq until Friday past to respond.

Got call today to say they had failed to respond.

Is it worth sending an email to this address or do I leave with adjudicator to chase up?
• Hi all

I was one of the many people who got trapped in this Payday loan circle, 8 out of my 12 creditors on my DMP are PDL's.

I am interested in doing this as i often rolled over loans, or paid off one day and then took out another the next day. Very often i was juggling many loans and my day to day bills with PDL's.

What do i need to do to start this off, any advice would be welcome!!

This may be a stupid question but.....Would this work whilst im still paying these companys off on a DMP or only after the debts have been paid?

Thanks

• Hi leighhavfc,
Go to the Debt Camel website for valuable information. Start the process by asking for a statement of accounts from all PDL. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain, you may be surprised how much you may get back in compensation, GO for it.

Hi James.

I'm not sure about them refusing to provide you with the statements but Dollar Financial seem to be the worst for not responding. I have complaints with FOS regarding Payday UK and Payday Express after neither of them replied after 8 weeks. If you have online banking then you can check all your previous dealings with them to get an idea of the interest and charges you paid them.

Regarding Wonga - absolutely yes you can! See my post on page 99, I had my last loan written off for about £200-300 I think it was. They won't include this in their calculation of any potential refund as you most likely repaid less than you borrowed but I had a good result from them.

Good luck!

Could I ask for a little advice please?

I've had an offer from MyJar (interest and charges around the £600 mark) saying they partially uphold my complaint and offer £111. I'm not accepting this. I want to test the water with a figure closer to £500. Does anyone have a suggestion of how to word it? If I can settle this one without FOA I'd be quite happy.

Thank you for any help.
I had this with Mr Lender. I simply went back to them after they made an offer and said that I still believe more could have been done regarding previous loans and as a result I believe I should be refunded £xxx. From an initial offer of £219 I ended up with a refund of £423. I said something like this "I hope that you will reconsider my offer so that we can come to a more agreeable solution to avoid this escalating to the FOS." It seemed to work for me but each case is different so you just have to ask the question.

Good luck!

I think I read somewhere that this is only for chasing up payments once QQ have actually agreed to settle. If they haven't responded to an adjudicator then it will most likely go to an ombudsman for a final decision.

That's pretty much what I've done. Now obsessively checking my email!! Thank you.
• Thanks for that @Delete33 !!

I have had statement of account from SafetyNet, Peachy and Quick Quid, i have lodged complaints will these 3.

Still waiting to hear from a couple more, although they have acknowledged my statement of account request.

One question i have is that i have 2 more payday loans which were passed on to debt collectors, can i chase these PDL's or will they decline due to them being sold on to collectors?

Thanks
