I would never have allowed the extra 6 weeks though, which just emphasises why you shouldnt use these companies. They might have 100 cases each to deal with, so your case just isnt that important to them. You can usually do a better job of it yourself.
The likelyhood is that you will get an offer within the 6 weeks, whether its an offer you're happy with is a different story. Bear in mind that the company will be taking about 30% of what ever is offered...
Thank you Jackster. I appreciate that the companies are frowned upon but I have genuine reasons for using one. To begin with, I never knew that complaints against Wonga and the such like were possible as I felt that it was MY bad decisions that got me into the mess I got into. I never thought about their bad practice and how their lack of responsible lending got me to this point. I also, once I found out that I could complain, had no idea where to even begin. I work FT, attend Uni and have a 4 year old and just feel I need the convenience of somebody else doing the chasing, I barely have time to breathe at the moment let alone chase Wonga. I hope that doesn't sound contrite, but that is the reason I appointed MMS.
Do you think it would be worth phoning them and instructing them to involve the FOS? I think we're at week 9 now, with a possible 4 more weeks added on by Wonga.
Can I just ask another (probably stupid) question? I have seen many of you mention an adjudicator but I have no idea if I even have one, how would I find out??0 -

When a complaint is raised with the FOS, they will assign an adjudicator to your case. They will make a decision on the complaint in the first instance which they then seek agreement from you and the business. If one of you don't agree then the matter will be passed from the adjudicator to an Ombudsman.
Hope that makes sense2010 - First ever competition win = Creme Egg Keyring0 -

Hey, Im not judging or telling you off! You have to do what ever is best for you.
Unfortunately though, its all in their hands now... you can ask them to go straight to the FOS, or see if there is a way to cancel their services as youre unhappy, but I reckon you'll just have to go along with them im afraid.
The adjudicator usually contacts you directly to introduce themselves, but in this case they will probably go straight to the claims management company, so you wont find out until they tell you x0 -
Got my first offer today from Wonga (day 100!!) and already referred to FOS. Offer of 3.5k which is near enough what I paid out in interest across all the loans (I had worked that out to 3.7k) so sounds a good fair offer to me
Anybody accepted offers from them and know how long they take to pay up?2010 - First ever competition win = Creme Egg Keyring0 -
Brilliant result Ringo, seen differing reports on Debt Camel re: timescales, payouts within 1 to 14 days?0

All the information your passing to this claims company, you could just as easily of passed directly to the lender yourself, you will lose approx. 30% of anything you get back in fees.
I appreciate your position, but doing this yourself is no harder than getting a claims company to do it for you, your basically wasting money, and the FOS strongly advise against using any 3rd party company.
Hell I will do it for you myself for free if it helps you out, please see if you can cancel this agreement you have made before they leave you high and dry.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I have spent today writing and firing off emails. Complaint send to QQ as have been able to access old loan information from my account. I have emailed Wonga for details of all my loans, fees and interest as i dont have my own records of that. Looks like its a waiting game now.March 2017 - Debt Free- cleared £21,750

sahrab, just be patient and expect to wait 6 months, if something happens earlier than six months its a bonus. Do not expect anything back and you can not go wrong.:cool:0
