I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as a rule PDUK just wont respond to anything at all, untill they absolutely have to. Its very likely that they will completely ignore the ombudsman, and then the ombudsman will reassess your claim based on the information you have provided.
It will very probably take the entire 12 weeks from here, because they have to allow time for PDUK to respond.
The bright side though, is that 1, the ombudsman is very, very likely to agree with the adjudicator, meaning that what ever the adjudicator has suggested will stand, and 2, they will most probably add an extra couple of hundred for the distress and inconvenience caused by the way your complaint has been handled.
In response to the post about leaving it to the companies to deal with this has been tried and tested. I am currently on week 13 with one of the complaints I am dealing with. PDUK have sent a response on Thursday, explaining that they havent finished investigating, and they dont know when their investigation will be complete. Hopefully within a 'few weeks'. So its been over 3 months, and they havent finished. How long is a few weeks? Another 13 weeks? Less? More? Who knows. And they will most probably make a derogatory offer when they have finally finished 'investigating', meaning the complaint will have run for about 6 months, before the ombudsman gets involved. There is no chance I am going to wait- and this complaint was passed to the FOS on day 56. PDUK couldnt even be bothereed to send the 8 week response allowing the complaint to be escalated, without 3 phone calls and 2 emails requesting this.
I have attempted to contact every one in the company. The CEO email address just bounces. Gillian Maher doesnt respond. Customer services dont respond. The dedicated email for these complaints doesnt respond.
The only guaranteed way to force them to reply, is a complaint on trust pilot. They will reply, and promise a resolution to the compaint by yesterday, and then continue to ignore you in real life.
The situation is a joke.
If they dealt with these complaints in a fair and timely manner in the first place, it would never get this far. Its their lack of action, and disgraceful service that has brought things to this extent. The have brought it all on theirselves.
Had they dealt with my own initial complaint in a reasonable way, I wouldnt be bothering with all of this.
The measure of a company is how they behave when things go wrong. Burying their heads in the sand, and completely ignoring people isnt really helping their case at all.
Wonga are usually asking for another 6 weeks, and then another 6 weeks, and then rejecting the complaint. Quick Quid/ P2P are going as far over the 8 week timescale as they can, before making an offer of about 10% of the redress due.
At this stage, I would say that Wonga are the least worst of the companies, and they are not behaving well by any stretch of the imagination. So I disagree, I dont think it should be left to them to resolve, because frankly they are not resolving anything!0 -
Hi jackster, agree , this is what I have been pointing out for months now. I expect PDUK to ignore my adjudicator and so on, once again I will say to people put a complaint into the FCA regarding the PDL complaint process, if thousands tell the FCA what the PDL have been up to they may act and enforce hefty fines or better still take away their licence to trade.:cool:0

I was contacted for help this morning by a lady with a load of loans from PDUK, Wonga, QQ and P2P.
She has finally, after 10 weeks had a reply from P2P, saying that they did nothing wrong, and her loan of £1000 was fine. They have her disposable income recorded as £2500, because loads of people with £2500 left after their bills need to borrow from these vultures! They have failed to take into account they £900 pd loans she had from their sister company QQ, and certainly havent taken into account the £500 she was paying to the other companies.
So that is a prime example of the response you get if you let the company sort it out. Absolutely nothing. They have offered to waive half of the interest on her final loan as a getsture of good will, or in other words, offered to not take some of the money she doesnt owe, for a debt that should never have existed. Great service!
You never know though, maybe you will be lucky and PDUK will just deal with your case- its unlikely because they dont seem to be defanding anything at the moment. So it being passed up to the ombudsman is both good news, and bad news at the same time!0 -
Yes you are correct Jackster123. The PDL can take as long as they like, the interest just goes up. I am off on holiday in two weeks time for 3 weeks so fcku them.:eek:0

Just had a response from Wonga 1 day before my 8weeks was up stating they were busy and would try to respond in the next 8 weeks. Should I wait, or claim with the FOC?0
