@raydetinu   You can of course phone the court give the name of the DJ and ask for the court email address, or the clerk to the DJ so that papers can be filed (a bit like you did with the claimant). Check the size of your attachments. Too big and emails bounce.

The court will help guide you with admin, just so long as you never ask for advice/what to do next, as they are trained not to provide legal advice....
  • thanks again.
have got a f2f hearing on 19th December.
have tried phoning but not answering? but keep trying, hence sent email, but no response yet.
  • Hi All,
Well got a N279 from CEL today that they are discontinuing the case?
    Is that it, end of!
Am I allowed to claim any costs? time or money for out of pocket stuff.
aggravation for their punitive action. I just do not know.
    CPR 38 says I can't.
Any advice, just close the book then.
guess they did not fancy a trip to Truro in this fine weather, or thanks to your defence they thought they might loose!

Well done!  Jump each required hurdle put in your way by CEL, and meet the court's deadlines, CEL almost always discontinue.

MSE says you can't, either. 😊
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

However, why do people keep asking this, when there is an example of someone who actually did it, in the NEWBIES thread?

ANYWAY - WELL DONE  - ANOTHER CEL ONE BITES THE DUST!

Sorry no, I never link to the NEWBIES thread, you already know where it is and the court advice is in the second post of it.  The costs issue is covered there...

You've had links to the NEWBIES thread given to you several times on this thread.
I've given you a link at least twice.
  • I presume the poster was meaning a link directly to the thread linked from the NEWBIES thread. ;)
