I've been doing this solo for the last 2-3 weeks without a broker and the chat agents or call agents are pretty much useless. Having spoken to around 10-20, I'd say there was one young girl that was helpful and actually spent 10-20 minutes filtering through each document we had submitted. Obviously she wasn't an underwriter nor was she the person that gives the docs a preliminary check, but it was useful to have her sanity check things and come up with one or two queries.
There's nothing anyone on the calls can do to "speed" things up...0 -
This might be a bit of a silly question
For for those of you who have received your offer letter, it says on the letter I have 7 days to decide but it also says I don't need to sign or return anything. Is it a case of "you don't need to do anything unless you want to cancel the mortgage"?

Getting so irritated, contracted the mb this morning, apparently nationwide are not happy with the explanation of where the deposit has come from! It's getting on my nerves now. My other half is rubbish with money so every month he gives me half of his wage. I save it between safe and bank, when we found a house I transferred from my bank and deposited the cash into his account. Didn't think it would be an issue. Wrote a statement and said it was savings figured that would be it. What a joke. Honestly lost all interest in this house now. Want them to just just say no and get it over with now0
