Ive been on the online chat to Nationwide, it may be different to on the phone. The advisor there mentioned they had read only access.so i dont think they could amend anything Although to be honest they didnt actually provide anything useful.Hannabear2016 said:
I feel your frustration. Did you call NW directly? I'm so tempted to call them, but have read on another thread that bypassing the broker and going straight to the lender might confuse things. We're so close to getting an answer, but it still feels like it'll never come!Frances13 said:
Day 37 for us! Found out the only reason we didn't hear back on Friday was because our adviser added a note to our application which pushed us to the back of the queue again.... so infuriating.Hannabear2016 said:

Does the online chat ask for a reference number or anything like that? We went through a broker so don't have any ref number. I am tempted to get in touch but not sure if they will entertain me without this.Tonyw193 said:

I've been doing this solo for the last 2-3 weeks without a broker and the chat agents or call agents are pretty much useless. Having spoken to around 10-20, I'd say there was one young girl that was helpful and actually spent 10-20 minutes filtering through each document we had submitted. Obviously she wasn't an underwriter nor was she the person that gives the docs a preliminary check, but it was useful to have her sanity check things and come up with one or two queries.
There's nothing anyone on the calls can do to "speed" things up...

This might be a bit of a silly question
For for those of you who have received your offer letter, it says on the letter I have 7 days to decide but it also says I don't need to sign or return anything. Is it a case of "you don't need to do anything unless you want to cancel the mortgage"? 0 -
Yeah they will ask for a reference number. I also went through a broker but the reference number has been on emails I've recieved from nationwide.citygurly said:

OK, thanks. I've never received any emails from them, only texts and they don't have a ref number on. Never mind I will leave it to the broker.Tonyw193 said:

I decided to bite the bullet and call NW. Apparently the docs and answers to required info wasnt uploaded by our broker until last Tuesday (despite providing 5 days before) and our application has only just been sent to the underwriters this morning, who have a 10 day lead time. So not expecting to get an answer until the 19th Oct! 🤯🤯🤯Tonyw193 said:

It's so frustrating... I don't get why it takes them so long to attach the documents!Hannabear2016 said:

Getting so irritated, contracted the mb this morning, apparently nationwide are not happy with the explanation of where the deposit has come from! It's getting on my nerves now. My other half is rubbish with money so every month he gives me half of his wage. I save it between safe and bank, when we found a house I transferred from my bank and deposited the cash into his account. Didn't think it would be an issue. Wrote a statement and said it was savings figured that would be it. What a joke. Honestly lost all interest in this house now. Want them to just just say no and get it over with now0
